Crystal is an important component of natural organisms and geological systems.The crystals are not only beautiful,but also have an important industrial application.Calcium carbonate plays a very important role in the study of crystal,Calcium carbonate is one of the most plentiful minerals in nature.Calcium carbonate have achieve wide application in many fields,it has become a hot topic at home and abroad.Calcium carbonates have important research significance and industrial value,in terms of crystal growth mechanism,crystal morphology control,morphology and growth orientation,etc.The article studies the effect of different concentrations of SDBS in solution on crystallization behavior and morphology of calcium carbonate.The calcium carbonate was prepared by gas diffusion method with ammonium carbonate and calcium chloride in solution with different SDBS concentration.The compounds were measured and analyzed by scanning election microscopy?X-ray diffraction and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The research found that when there is no SDBS in the solution,calcium carbonate samples are mainly compose of calcite crystals,the morphology is a regular rhombus hexagon.When there is SDBS in the solution,calcium carbonate samples are mainly compose of vaterite crystals,the morphology is spherical.The growth mechanism of CaCO3 is changed by SDBS in solution.The content of vaterite increases with the concentration of SDBS in solution,gradually.The vaterite crystals almost all of the samples when the SDBS concentration is 1.2×10-3 mol·L-1.Continue to increase the concentration of SDBS in solution,metastable vaterite crystals transition to stable calcite crystals due to changes of micelle morphologic and the stability become badly.The relative content of vaterite crystals is reduced in the sample,and varieties of morphologies are present,for example,the shape of the flower,hexagon and spindle,etc.In summary,this article takes advantage of china's rich limestone mineral resources,new processes for researching,developing and preparing calcium carbonate products,it is important to further improve the quality and value of calcium carbonate.At the same time,we have obtained some innovative research results.It will play a guiding role in calcium carbonate surface modification process and quality control,the new ideas in the synthesis of calcium carbonate and surface modification were introduced.The surface modification of other powder materials can also be verified and referenced by calcium carbonate.
