Logging work in oil and gas exploration project is one of the most basic work in oil and gas exploration and development. In the process of drilling, taking samples of cuttings from different wells of the same well, the analysis of elemental composition and elemental content can be helpful for oil and gas exploration And evaluating the first-hand reference information are of great significance to the evaluation of oil and gas exploration.Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy(LIBS)is an elemental analysis technique that has been rapidly developed in recent years. It has the advantages of micro-damage,long-range,real-time online,in situ analysis, simultaneous detection of multiple elements,,Which is in good agreement with the elemental analysis of drilling-boring cuttings in oil and gas exploration projects. In this study,60 rock samples from multiple drilling exploration sites in the southwestern region were randomly assigned to a test set and a training set.The LIBS-Tracer,a self-made benchtop LIBS instrument, was used to collect LIBS Spectrum. Then the content of eight elements of Fe,Al,Mn,K,Mg,Ca,Ti,Si and the LIBS spectra of each sample were determined based on the national standard method, and the regression algorithm based on support vector machine Rock cut elemental analysis quantitative model. In this research work, the LIBS spectral data of validation set were substituted into the quantitative models of each element for verification. The results showed that the average percent error(MPE)of eight elements of Fe,Al,Mn,K,Mg,Ca,Ti and Si were 11.4%,7.22%,8.79%,9.76%,7.45%,11.9% and 5.68% Can meet the needs of logging work. Then, based on the characteristics of self-made instruments and the workflow and requirements of well logging work, the function and architecture of the software are designed and the resulting quantitative model is integrated into LIBS-Tracer.Instrument control and data processing for logging work are compiled Analyzing Software. The developed software is divided into two parts: instrument control and data analysis and processing, which realizes the power-on self-test,data acquisition, data storage and playback, data preprocessing, elemental quantitative analysis,NIST database query, instrument calibration, logging data management and so on.Features.Finally,the instrument and software are used to test a real logging site in Southwest China. The chip samples are ground and compressed, the spectra are collected and the quantitative results are predicted. Finally, the software of the instrument records the results in tabular form. The results show that using the software LIBS-Tracer logging special type instrument from the acquisition of the spectrum to calculate the quantitative results take only a few seconds. The complete instrumentation system with integrated algorithm model can meet the work requirements of oil and gas exploration logging drilling.
