The polymer electrolyte-membrane fuel cells?PEMFC?which use the hydrogen as fuel,is a new generation of energy technology that has attracted more and more attention. And it is expected to become an effective method to solve the environmental degradation and energy crisis worldwide. The selective oxidation of CO in excess hydrogen is an important means to purifying hydrogen fuel.Meanwhile, develop a simple and efficient catalyst to removing CO is a mainstream topics. It is not only the price is inexpensive, but also exhibits the high CO conversion and the high O2 selectivity, the Cu O/CeO2 catalyst is an ideal catalyst in the selective oxidation of CO in excess hydrogen.Up to now,CuO/CeO2 catalysts have been prepared in various methods.Among them,copper-cerium oxide catalysts with different morphologies of CeO2 as supports have been widely studied.Because different morphologies CeO2 supports usually show different surface structures and different active exposure surfaces, which determines the properties of nanomaterials.Tubular ceria?CeO2-T?nanomaterial is a kind of hollow material with large specific surface area and many kinds of active exposed surface. It is an excellent carrier, but due to the limitation of synthesis conditions of tubular CeO2,it is used in the selective oxidation of CO in hydrogen-rich gas never been reported. In this paper,we chosen the tubular CeO2-T as carrier to successfully prepare Cu O/CeO2-T catalyst by impregnation method. And we got a series of CuO/CeO2-T catalysts, when we explored the variables in the preparation process of copper-cerium oxide catalysts in the selective oxidation of CO in excess hydrogen. In addition,we also compared CeO2-T with rod-like ceria?CeO2-R?and commercial ceria?CeO2-C?.The physicochemical properties of the catalysts were analyzed by XRD,TEM,Raman,H2-TPR,XPS and other characterization methods. Finally, the activity and stability of their selective oxidation of CO in hydrogen-rich gas were investigated. The results showed that the catalyst with 5%Cu loading calcined at600°C?5%-CuO/CeO2-T-600?performed the best activity and stability in these catalysts,it also has good resistance to carbon dioxide and water.
