Timber is an indispensable and important resource in the national economy.it still can not meet the increasing quantity demand and quality requirement of people.Wood composites made of wood and other materials can make up the defects of pure wood materials and give them new properties to complement and optimize the material characteristic.Compared with ordinary wood-based panels,carbon fiber wood composites have been greatly improved in electrical and mechanical properties,it expands the properties and use range of the wood composites.The microstructure of the material determines the properties of the composites.In the process of research and development of the composites,it is impossible to achieve efficient R&D and micro performance analysis in the effective cycle only through traditional experiments.Based on this,we use digital image processing technology to analyze and identify the degree of homogenization of carbon fiber in wood composites.Firstly,this paper studies the preparation process of carbon fiber wood composite so that carbon fiber and wood fiber can be fully mixed.Secondly,test the mechanical properties and electrical properties of the carbon fiber wood composite plates prepared by different mixing ratios,and select the best mixed proportions to collect the electron microscope images.Then the digital image processing technology is used to enhance and filter the collected electron microscope images,so as to achieve the purpose of removing the noise to make the contour edge of the target area clear.Next to apply the improved FCM algorithm to segment the image which has been preprocessed.The segmented images are processed by mathematical morphology to remove the edges discontinuous from the target area and the connected regions which are not interested in the SEM images and the wood fibers.Finally,the characteristic values of carbon fiber wood composites were extracted by electron microscope image,they are the average width of carbon fiber,the ratio of length to width and area ratio,and set up a carbon fiber distribution pattern parameter r to identify whether the carbon fibers were bonded together.The SEM images of carbon fiber wood composites have many components and different shapes,the image is complex and difficult to extract useful information.The accuracy and reliability of the improved FCM algorithm for the SEM image segmentation of carbon fiber wood composites is verified by the research in this paper.The final extraction of carbon fiber characteristic parameters plays an important role in studying the related characteristics and macro and micro properties of carbon fiber in the composite sheet.At the same time,it also improves the carbon fiber characteristic parameters for the later construction of the macro and micro model of carbon fiber wood composite.This study not only provides a theoretical basis for the development of carbon fiber wood composites,but also provides a new and effective method and scientific basis for the optimization of the preparation process of the new composites,it can achieve the purpose of shortening the experimental period and predicting the performance of the new materials.
