The Chinese people believe that the tiger is the king of beasts and its eight-faced prestige is a symbol of exorcism,peace,and auspiciousness.The elders always dress up children in the shape of tigers,meaning that children can grow up healthy and brave.Tiger-headed shoes and hats are traditional handicraft techniques of the Chinese nation and have a long history in China.It is handmade,exquisite workmanship,bright colors,unique color features,with a national character.The appearance is full,emphasizing decoration,is a kind of shoes and hats that are worn by the baby.It represents the elder’s blessings for the next generation and it is also a spiritual sustenance.In recent years,the socio-economic development has been proceeding at an alarming rate.Mass-produced products dominate the market.Many artists who make tiger heads and hats in society are old,their craftsmanship is based on oral traditions,and the production process is very complicated.This traditional arts and crafts is gradually disappearing,and the handicraft inheritance is not satisfactory..Through investigation,it has been found that no one has used the tiger head and hat elements in children’s cutlery designs.Tiger-headed shoes and tiger-headed caps are mainly used for children.They also have good morals.To find these points of convergence,innovations are born.Through the bold innovation of the color of the tiger’s head shoes and hats on the children’s tableware design,the color with the national characteristics will be combined with the contemporary design to show the unique color characteristics and charm of the tiger’s head and hat.Only by letting more people know about it will this traditional arts and crafts not be lost in the historical halo.This article consists of three parts.The first part mainly expounds the purpose and significance of the project.The purpose is to let more people understand the folk arts and crafts that are faced with the loss of tiger heads and hats.The significance is that through my design,as a derivative of cultural creativity,it can drive the rapid economic development of the Zhengding area of the tourist city.The second part ismainly based on the characteristics of the tiger’s head shoes and hats.Through the refinement,induction,and summary of the color and shape of the tiger’s head shoes and hats,the exaggerated,decorative and other expression techniques are used cleverly in the design of children’s tableware,aiming to make children Pleasant meal.The third part mainly elaborated the design idea to the plan formation,as well as the problems and solutions in the production process.Practice has proved that the use of tiger head and hat elements in the design of children’s tableware is feasible.The lovely shapes and bright colors are very appealing to the eyes and are deeply loved by children.
