From Tangible To Intangible:the Characteristics And Expression Of Contemporary Paper-cut Art

Paper cutting,as an ancient art form in China,has its unique manifestations and characteristics.The significance of this research is to observe,research and analyze the traditional paper-cut from the perspective of diversification,and to extract the elements of form or style,so that to make a meaningful and aesthetic re creation with modern creative thinking and expression techniques.Break the "tangible" original form of expression,translate the "intangible" artistic style and ideological feelings into another new type of specific image.Trigger the extension and link of abstract ideas,and try to use new forms of art to expand and subvert our understanding and perception of the traditional paper-cut.Enrich the form and content of paper-cut art with a variety of new elements,in order to achieve a new dimension of contemporary paper-cut art which is beyond the original image.This study starts with two aspects: domestic and foreign.In depth understanding of the history,forms and characteristics of Chinese folk paper cutting,the paper also analyzes the artistic style and the contemporary development of foreign paper cutting.So then summed up the composition of paper-cut art is imagery.The idea is the "intangible" of paper-cut art."Intangible" is the subjective imagination of paper-cut artists,and the emotional information conveyed by the paper-cut works.The image is the "tangible" of paper-cut art."Tangible" is the way to show the works of paper cutting.The way of presentation includes the form of expression and the shape of the form."Intangible" is an abstract idea,"tangible" is the external concrete image of things,paper cutting art is the result of the creation of thinking and vision.
