Bamboo as a natural biological composite material has formed a multi-level structure from micro to macro. At the same time, bamboo is also a renewable and degradable natural composite material. It has the characteristics of fast growth, high yield and high performance. At present, bamboo is generally regarded as homogeneous isotropic material, but it is not analyzed from the micro structure level, and the difference between the results and the actual structure is inevitable. In this paper, bamboo is regarded as a unidirectional composite material composed of vascular bundle and matrix. The relationship between the microstructure of bamboo and the mechanical properties of macro level is studied by the combination of macro and mesoscopic mechanics and the ABAQUS finite element software and the finite element theory. The main conclusions are as follows:1.according to the analysis of bamboo tensile test results, the composite material mixing law is applied to predict the meso mechanical parameters of bamboo.Through the analysis of the distribution characteristics of the vascular bundle and the application of the beam element theory, the script of the drawing model is written in Python language. The tensile model of the finite element is established and analyzed by ABAQUS.The parameters of the vascular bundle are in good agreement with the experimental data.2.the fiber and its surrounding matrix are fiber bundles as the RVE representative volume unit of the micro layer.According to the morphological characteristics of the vascular bundles, the GUI user interface is created. The micromechanical model of the vascular bundle is established by changing the number and parameters of the bundle of fiber bundles in the vascular bundle.3.taking the vascular bundle as the representative volume unit of RVE,the macroscopic tensile mechanical model is established and the finite element analysis is carried out according to the middle section of the specimen. The relative parameters of the tensile model are compared with the tensile test, and the reliability of the mechanical parameters of the vascular bundle is indirectly verified.
