6xxx aluminum alloy is magnesium and silicon as main alloying elements,and with Mg2 Si as the main strengthening aluminum alloy phase,which belongs to the heat treatment can enhance the aluminum alloy,the alloy has high strength,high corrosion resistance,no stress corrosion cracking tendency,good welding performance,weld corrosion stability,forming the process and advantages of good performance.For 6xxx aluminum alloy by traditional casting method is the solidification of uneven defects and composition segregation,also need to squeeze or rolling the two processing methods can be applied to alloy casting technology.To complete a plate forming process,shorten the process The microstructure with fine grain size and homogeneous composition can be obtained.In this paper,6061 aluminum alloy cast rolling plate as the research object,through many experiments on twin roll casting conditions and the use of OM,SEM,EDS,hardness test and tensile test of mechanical properties,experimental methods,the effects of different process parameters on casting 6061 aluminum alloy microstructure and mechanical properties the experimental results show that:With the pouring temperature,the grain size of the alloy decreases first and then increases,the yield strength,tensile strength and elongation increases and then decreases.When the pouring temperature is 670 ? and 690 ?,precipitates in the alloy morphology difference,showing skeletal shape;when pouring temperature to 710 ?,the morphology of the alloy skeleton into long strips.With the roll gap decreases,the precipitation of the second phase of cast rolling plate edge and center was significantly reduced by the continuous distribution into a discontinuous distribution,grain boundary is gradually refined.With the roll gap decreases,the yield strength and tensile strength of the alloy are increased,the roll gap is 1mm,the yield strength of the alloy and the tensile strength reached the maximum respectively 39.87 MPa,236.46 MPa,and the elongation of the alloy joints 1mm and 1.5mm had little difference in the roll are respectively 17.83%,18.02%,roll gap for 1mm,the pouring temperature is 690 ?,casting 6061 aluminum alloy has the best mechanical properties.By 570?,8h insulation after homogenization,the microstructure has changed to recrystallization,grain from strip to round grains,grains and grain boundaries have a large number of precipitates,but the larger the number of second phase particles decreased,and The phase transition process from ?-Al5 Fe Si to ?-Al8Fe2 Si is also observed.The tensile strength and elongation significantly improved compared with the casting state,while the yield strength and hardness of the alloy decreases.
