Silver clusters have attracted great attention because their fascinating structures and promising properties.Rational design and surface modification are immediate areas of research focus for the construction of silver clusters.By incorporating some functionalized organic ligands into the surface of silver clusters, they can obtain the properties like chirality, biocompatibility, redox, catalytic activity, enhanced light absorbtion,et al.and could be widely used in catalyst, chemical sensing, photoelectric functional materials, and so on.The ferrocene derivatives with good thermal stability and redox active center could be functionalized on the surface of the silver clusters for better light absorption and electrochemical activity by means of coordination effect. In this dissertation,a ferrocene-functionalized tetranuclear silver alkynyl cluster is successfully constructed by incorporating ferrocene derivative(1,1’-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene,dppf)into the surface of silver alkynyl clusters, with formula[(dppf)2Ag4(C≡C1Bu)2](BF4)2·4CH3OH.Its molecular structure is confirmed by various characterization methods. Its solution electrochemical behavior is also investigated. For the application of this cluster with excellent redox activity and good solubility,we use it to the fabrication of thin-film electrochemical detector to the detection of hydrogen peroxide. The main works around the title cluster in this dissertation are as follows:1.The title cluster is successfully prepared via solvothermal method with high yield. The composition and structure were characterized by single crystal structure analysis,FT-IR、UV-Vis、1H-NMR、13C-NMR,et al.2.The thermal and electrochemical properties of the title cluster is investigated.Experimental results of thermal analysis and electrochemical analysis show that the title cluster has good thermal and better electrochemical stability, and a reversible redox reaction can occur on the surface of the solution electrode and the redox process is diffusion controlled.3.The electrochemical responses of the title cluster to different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide in solution are investigated. It’s used to the fabrication of thin-film via spin coating method. The structure and morphology of the thin films were characterized by XRD,SEM and TEM.The electrochemical behavior of the thin-films is investigated by CV,and it was also used as an electrochemical detector for the detection of hydrogen peroxide. Those studies could lay a foundation for the future exploration of the title cluster, including synthesis, crystal structure, property, and application in the electrochemical detection of small moleuclues.
