Silica and carbon sphere particles with special structures and characteristics have been a surge of academic interest over the last decade,because of their excellent development and commercial applications in the field of adsorption,catalysis,separation,energy storage and biomedicine.Remarkably,these particles'synthesis and application have made considerable progress,and we can flexibly control the geometric structure,porosity,surface area and particle size.The preparation methods are quite mature,which including template method,self-assembly method,emulsion method and St?ber method.However,there are still a lot of shortcomings,especially in the preparation of millimeter-grade carbon spheres.As firstly mentioned the preparation of functionalized silicon dioxide,we prepared the SiO2 materials with two-phase transfer function and studied their properties simultaneously.The surface of SiO2 particles were modified by using octyl trimethoxysilane and diethylenediamine trimethoxysilane,then we obtained the pH response functional SiO2 nanomaterials.Interestingly,the hydrophilicity of SiO2 surface can change along with the adjusting of the pH value,SiO2 particles will transfer and disperse freely from single phase system to the oil-water two phase system sequentially.Furthermore,we discuss the molar ratio of two kinds of silane effect on the performance of phase transfer ability,and the result show that the best mole ratio of diethylenediamine trimethoxysilane is 4%.In addition,the experimental results show that the SiO2material can transfer freely between the oil phase and water phase with small surface tension,and maintain a good stability even after 5 cycles.This preparation method provides a reliable carrier for the process of oil-water two-phase system.In terms of carbon material,our preparation are based on the special properties of dry water and liquid marble,which take the dry water and liquid marble as the template,then via gas liquid contact reaction to obtain the micro millimeter porous carbon materials.We use perfluorinated octyl trimethoxysilane to modify the surface of nano silica and get the super hydrophobic nanometer SiO2,which can serve as disperant with the mixture of resorcinol and potassium carbonate solution and then to be liquid dry water.The next to the synthesis of resorcinol resin?RF?spheres with the above dry water and the gaseous formaldehyde,after heating activation,we get the micron-sized porous carbon spheres.The specific area was controlled by regulating the concentration of hydroquinone.The porous carbon spheres were characterized by means of electron microscope,nitrogen adsorption,infrared and heat weight.Upon these,we developed the same method to prepare the millimeter porous carbon spheres,which take liquid marble as templates.The experimental data allows an in-depth understanding of the formation mechanism,and succeed in synthesizing the hollow carbon spheres via the regulating of internal structure.Our experimental results show that the porous carbon spheres have high mechanical strength and excellent permeability.
