Supramolecular host-guest system is constructed by host molecule and guest molecule through non-covalent bonds.Pillararene is one of the most popular host molecules due to its advantages such as high symmetry, easy modification and easy synthesis.Since the pillararene was firstly reported, many reports have focused on its molecule configurations, properties and applications. However, due to the short time of discovering pillararene, the depth and breadth of researches are still insufficient. Therefore,it is very meaningful to study the properties and take advantages of pillararene to design multi-functions materials. In this paper, two supramolecular host-guest fluorescent systems are designed based on the water-soluble pillar[5]arene(WP5).System 1:In this system(WP5(?)G),guest molecule is water-soluble perylene diimides derivative(G).Based on the PET process,WP5(?)G can serve as a Fe3+ fluorescent probe. Moreover, adding WP5 into G aqueous solution can induce morphological transition.System 2:In this system(WP5(?)1),guest molecule is water-soluble spiropyran derivative(1)with light response properties.By forming host-guest system, the hydrophilic ability of 1 will change without destroying the light response properties. With the synergistic effect of WP5 and light,WP5(?)1 realized morphological transition from solid sphere to vesicle, which showed great potential in the field of drug release. The two designed systems are both constructed in water media, which is harmless for organism and environment.
