Kaolin is an important non-metallic clay mineral,and it is also one of the most widely distributed minerals on the earth's crust.So far,kaolin has been widely used in ceramics,papermaking,rubber,plastics,and other fields because of its excellent process properties such as plasticity,cohesiveness,and chemical stability.However,if there are impurities such as iron,titanium,manganese,and calcium in natural kaolin,the calcined whiteness and other properties of kaolin will be seriously affected,which greatly limits the application of kaolin.Therefore,it is particularly important to explore the method of removing impurities from kaolin.In this thesis,the removal processes of calcium,iron,titanium and other impurities from kaolinite in Xinghe County,Inner Mongolia were explored.The established chemical method is not only simple,but also economic and environmentally friendly.The research content and results are as follows:?1?The main impurity calcium and trace amounts of impurities such as iron and titanium in kaolin were removed by acid leaching method.At the same time,the influences of four factors including slurry concentration,acid addition amount,and reaction time and reaction temperature on impurity removal effect were also discussed.The results showed that under the liquid-to-solid ratio of kaolin slurry of 6:1,the acid added amount of 0.02mol,the reaction time of 10h,and the reaction temperature of20°C,the purpose of impurity removal could be effectively achieved.The calcined whiteness can reach 90.0%finally.?2?In order to reduce the cost of industrial production,on the basis of the acid leaching method,a simple,economical and effective cycling removal method was designed.The results showed that the calcined whiteness of kaolin obtained by the recycling method was between 88.3%and 88.9%.?3?Adsorptive materials were prepared from the waste generated in the cycle de-doping method,and adsorbents were prepared using commercial calcium carbonate.The adsorption capacity of CO2 from different sources of adsorbents was compared.The results show that the adsorbent prepared from the waste has a stronger adsorption capacity for CO2.
