At present,with the continuous development of the society and the increasing living standards of the people,the demand for copper is increasing year by year.At the same time,the company's requirements for the quality of electrolytic copper used in industrial production are also increasing.Therefore,there is an urgent need to increase the production of electrolytic copper and the quality needs to meet new requirements.At present,the degree of automation of most company's electrolytic copper production lines is very high,but the detection link is still using manual detection.This way is not only inefficient,but the detection of surface quality and the sorting of unqualified products still use manual operation.This method is not only low in efficiency and easy to make mistakes,the detection of copper cathode surface quality and product sorting have become one of the important factors affecting the production efficiency of electrolytic copper.This paper analyzes the problems existing in the surface quality inspection and sorting process of electrolytic cathode copper in a smelter in Yunnan.The design scheme of the sorting system is put forward,and the correctness of the cathode copper surface quality automatic testing system is verified by the experiment.The main purpose of the sorting system is to solve the automatic inspection of the surface quality of the electrolytic cathode copper and the automatic sorting of the products,so as to realize the surface quality detection and the automation of the product sorting process.The design contents of electrolytic cathode copper sorting system mainly include the overall structure layout,surface quality detection system and sorting mechanism.According to the actual production situation in the field,the layout of the overall structure of the electrolytic cathode copper sorting system is designed,which makes the system not only meet the actual needs and save space,and the layout is reasonable.The surface quality inspection system applies machine vision instead of manual to complete product quality inspection,and classifies products.The sorting mechanism needs to cooperate with the detection system,and mainly completes thesorting work after product detection and classification.he design contents of the sorting mechanism mainly include the selection of robots and the design of mechanical clamping mechanism.The design contents of quality detection system include hardware selection,software selection and user interface design.The system can greatly improve the automation of cathode copper production process.The process of the surface detection system is set as: image preprocessing,camera calibration,stereoscopic correction,stereo matching and data calculation.The principles and methods of application are binocular parallax principle,triangulation method,gradual image extraction method,and Sobel operator and BM algorithm.Comparing the related data with the actual measured data from the test system,it is found that the two kinds of data are very small and the detection results are consistent.The correctness of the detection system is verified,which shows that the system can meet the needs of actual production.
