Arctic products are abundant.According to the world's current demand for crude oil,only the oil reserves currently surveyed in the Arctic can satisfy the global supply for three years,and the unproven reserves can reach 90 billion barrels.At the same time,the reserves of natural gas and coal are also amazing.With the global warming,the ice in the Arctic Circle has subsided,making it possible to develop the Arctic route.At present,the Arctic offshore oil and gas exploration and development projects mainly include artificial islands,gravity-type platforms,and pontoon-type platforms.There is no real development project for deep-water floating platforms.At present,China is still at the initial stage of research and development of polar semi-submersible platforms.However,in recent years,China has been in line with international standards.It systematically studies technical difficulties such as ice load forecasting and strength analysis of polar semi-submersible structures,and has formed preliminary results.First,the physical characteristics of sea ice are studied in this paper.At the same time,the interaction between ice load and platform structure and the main damage forms are studied.Through the above studies,it provides a theoretical basis for ice load forecasting technology.Secondly,this paper evaluates the ice load based on the current internationally recognized polar marine structure rules ISO-19906,and calculates the overall ice load and local ice load that the platform bears.At the same time,based on the discrete element theory,the ice load was numerically simulated,and the calculated ice load was verified by the numerical simulation results.The ice load used for platform structural strength analysis was determined.Finally,based on a certain semi-submersible platform,this paper studies the particularity of the polar environment and completes the local ice enhancement design of the polar semi-submersible platform.Subsequently,the whole platform was analyzed for motion response and air gap,and the global strength analysis of the platform under open water conditions and icing conditions was completed.The results show that the discrete element simulation technique of ice load can well verify the norm calculated value of ice load and make this value be used for the subsequent structural strength analysis;at the same time,the global strength analysis results of the polar semi-submersible platform structure meet the strength requirements.From the point of view of structural design,the feasibility analysis of this structural form is completed,which has practical significance in engineering.
