By using 2,8,14,20-tetra-pentyl-6,12,18,24-tetra-methoxy-4,10,16,22-tetra-carboxymethoxy-resorcin[4]arene?H4L?,eight lanthanide-based coordination polymers?CPs?,[T b?H L??D M F??H 2 O?2]·3 H 2 O?1?,[E u?H L??D M F??H 2 O?2]·3 H 2 O?2?,[G d?H L??D M F??H 2 O?2]·3 H 2 O?3?,[Y b?H L??D M F??H 2 O?2]·3 H 2 O?4?,[Sm?HL??DMF??H2O?2]·3H2O?5?,[Ce?HL??DMF??H2O?]?6?,[Pr?HL??DMF??H2O?]?7?and[La?HL??DMF??H2O?]?8?,have been constructed.Isostructural CPs 1-5 exhibit charming ribbons built with rare earth cations and cup-like HL3-anions.The ribbons are further extended by hydrogen bonds to form supramolecular layers,respectively.CPs 6-8 are isostructural and show unique layer networks.The CPs were characterized by IR and powder X-ray diffraction.The solid fluorescence properties of 1 and 2 were studied.The fluorescence detection of CPs 1 and 2 towards metal cations,polyoxometalates?POMs?and organic small molecules by quenching and turn-on process has been systematically investigated.
