ZL101 alloy is a casting aluminum silicon alloy with excellent casting properties and mechanical properties.It has been widely used in industry.however,the eutectic silicon phase,which is a large,long needle,has been severely cut into the aluminum matrix,thus reducing the mechanical properties of the alloy.Therefore,it is usually used to improve the properties of the alloy melt with grain refinement and modification in industry.At present,the addition of metamorphic refiner is one of the simplest and most effective methods for refining ZL101 alloy,and it is necessary to be further studied it.Al-TiO2-C refiners were synthesized by the in-situ exothermic dispersion method.Study on the effects of single Sr metamorphism,Sr and Al-TiO2-C compound metamorphism and Sr and Al5TiB composite metamorphism on the refinement of ZL101alloy.The microstructure and phase structureunder different conditions was investigated by OM,SEM,EDS analysis as well as XRD,in addition the effect of ZL101 alloy after refinementwas analyzed by thermal analysis,the sesults as follow.Only adding the Sr metamorphic,when the Sr adding amount is 0.04%of ZL101alloy,the metamorphic effect is relatively better,but its refining effect is not significant,refining the grain size gap is not big.When the Sr adding amount is 0.04%,ZL101 alloy grain size relative to the smallest,with a value of 115.6?m,the characteristic value?T1 is4°C,?TE is 11.1°C.After heat treatment,when the adding of Sr was 0.02%,the metamorphic effect of ZL101 alloy was the best,and the grain size of ZL101 alloy was relatively small,and its value was 116.49?m.When the Sr and Al-TiO2-C compound metamorphism,the refining effect on ZL101alloy was remarkable,but its metamorphism was not as good as that of single Sr.When the Sr adding amount is 0.02%,ZL101 alloy grain size relative to the smallest,with a value of 34.09?m,the characteristic value?T1 is 3.2°C,?TE is 4.4°C.At this point,the use of the four groups of heat treatment conditions,the effect is relatively the best heat treatment conditions as follows:the solution treatment temperature is 540?,heat preservation for 12 hours;the aging temperature is 170?,heat preservation for 6 hours.After the heat treatment of this group,when the adding of Sr was 0.02%,the grain size of ZL101 alloy was relatively smallest,and its value was 37.35?m.When the Sr and Al5TiB compound metamorphism,the refining effect is stronger than when the Sr was added,but not as good as the Sr and Al-TiO2-C compound metamorphism.When the Sr adding amount is 0.02%,ZL101 alloy grain size relative to the smallest,with a value of 90.26?m,the characteristic value?T1 is 3.5°C,?TE is 2°C.After the heat treatment,when the adding of Sr was 0.02%,the grain size of ZL101 alloy was relatively smallest,and its value was 100.82?m.
