In this paper,the method of milling the Bezier surface of the die-casting mould's forming face is studied to complete the following functions,including the automatic identification of the Bezier surface in the solid model,the automatic matching of the diameter concerning the ball end milling cutter and the rational configuration of the main milling parameters.The main content is as follows:1.Based on the basic properties of the Bezier surface,the identification method of Bezier surfaces is proposed,and experiences secondary development in the NX environment,to identify the entity model in the NX environment directly.The result is to mark out the Bezier surface,and provides the basic information,such as curve order and rationality.The effective recognition of Bezier surface features is the basis of the following work.2.A new process of partition machining for Bezier surfaces is proposed.By studying the automatic matching method of the tool diameter in variable shaft finishing milling for the new process,the function of automatically obtaining the diameter parameter of Bezier surfaces' finishing tools is completed.Through this method,obtaining the cutting tool diameter is simple,which will effectively solve the difficulty and the unreasonable cutter diameter's selection problem in the condition of the lack of experienced technicians.At the same time,according to the IPW simulation results,the new process has been proved to be superior to traditional tool diameter selection and machining methods in machining precision.3.The genetic algorithm is adopted to optimize the extreme learning machine(GA-ELM),and to establish the GA-ELM model.The corresponding data are obtained through the variable axis milling experiments,which are conducted to train GA-ELM,to predict the surface roughness of the die casting mould's Bezier surface milling.By predicting the surface roughness,technologists are able to be assisted to reasonably configure the milling parameter combination.4.The “Guide” function is used to encapsulate the GA-ELM algorithm model after training,and to develop the surface roughness prediction system of Bezier surface milling based on GA-ELM.The system is intuitionistic and easy to be operated and used by technicians,for enhancing work efficiency and reducing labor intensity.
