As the electromagnetic stirring and electromagnetic brake are widely used in continuous casting,the influence of electromagnetic field on the properties of molten slag and the properties of slag film are gradually concerned by the industry,but few related research have been reported.It is a new content and a new requirement to study the mould fluxes under the action of electromagnetic field.In order to further understand the effect of electromagnetic field on the performance of mould flux,further discussion on the new method of controlling the performance of slag protection and enriching the basic theory of the design and application of the slag has some innovation and practical application value.Under this background,this paper designed and built a test system for the performance of molten slag under the condition of low frequency alternating magnetic field.This system can simulate the working condition of the electromagnetic field in the mould.It has the characteristics of continuous working in the high temperature environment,the continuous adjustable magnetic field intensity and frequency and so on,which satisfies the study of the performance of high temperature slag under the effect of electromagnetic field.The influence of magnetic field parameters on the performance of mould fluxes under low frequency alternating magnetic field is studied by using this test system.The main conclusions are as follows:?1?In this experiment,The crystallization temperature of the mould flux gradually increases with the increase of the magnetic field intensity and the frequency.Under different basicity conditions,when the frequency is f=8Hz,the intensity of the magnetic field is increased by 30mT,the crystallization temperature of mold fluxes increased by1621K.When the magnetic field intensity is B=20mT,the frequency increases 6Hz,the crystallization temperature of mold fluxes increased by 819K.?2?In this experiment,the basicity of the mould flux is R=1.04.When the frequency is f=8Hz and the magnetic field intensity increases 30mT,the crystallization rate of the slag is increased by 63.6%,the dendrite spacing is reduced by 34.45?m,the dendrite width is reduced by 21.45?m.When the magnetic field intensity is B=20mT,the crystallization rate of the mould flux is raised by 4.2%and the dendrite spacing is reduced by 32.45?m.The dendrite width is reduced by 18.45?m.The phase of the crystallized phase of the mould flux under different magnetic field intensity and frequency is the same as that under no magnetic field.The crystallization phases of mold fluxes are mainly akermanite?Ca2MgSi2O7?,gehlenite?2CaO·Al2O3·SiO2?,and a small amount of cuspidite?Ca4Si2O7F2?.?3?In this experiment,The viscosity of the slag gradually increases with the increase of magnetic field intensity and frequency.Under different basicity conditions,when the frequency is f=8Hz,the intensity of the magnetic field is increased by 30mT,the viscosity of mould flux increases 0.130.18Pa.s.When the magnetic field intensity is B=20mT,the frequency increases 6Hz,the viscosity of the slag is increased by0.120.14Pa.s.?4?In this experiment,The melting temperature of the slag gradually increases with the increase of the magnetic field intensity and the frequency.Under different basicity conditions,when the frequency is f=8Hz,the intensity of the magnetic field is increased by 30mT,the melting temperature of the slag is increased by 1112K.When the magnetic field intensity is B=20mT,the frequency increases 6Hz,the melting temperature of the slag is increased by 0.41.6K.?5?In this experiment,The surface tension of the slag gradually increases with the increase of the magnetic field intensity and the frequency.Under different basicity conditions,when the frequency is f=8Hz,the intensity of the magnetic field is increased by 30mT,the surface tension of the slag was increased by about 1119mN/m.When the magnetic field intensity is B=20mT,the frequency increases 6Hz,the surface tension of the slag is increased by about 79mN/m.
