Research On Intelligent Velocity Measurement Of Underground Belt Conveyor Based On Video

In recent years,video intelligent surveillance technology has been widely used in various fields in social life and industrial manufacture.For coal industry,the video intelligent surveillance technology has been applied in mine production safety,which has an important significance for detecting and preventing the coal mine accidents.The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,the paper describes the topic research meaning and application situation of intelligent monitoring system in coal mine production.Then the paper introduces the structure of the coal belt conveyor and the common detection methods and equipment failures.Furthermore,the basic theoretical knowledges of speed measurement of moving targets is summarized,which lays the theoretical foundation for the research in this paper.Secondly,a novel moving coal detection algorithm based on independent multimodal background subtraction is adopted.The complexity of the model is much lower than the previous models in time and space,so it can guarantee the real-time background modeling and target detection.On the other hand,the moving coal detection results are filtered to reduce the influence caused by the uneven distribution and size of coal regions.So as to ensure the accurate tracking of the coal blocks.Thirdly,Kalman filter is introduced and initialized.Then,the paper uses Kalman,filter and the nearest neighbor algorithm to track the moving coal blocks,whose sizes are suitable and times of being detected are bigger than the defined threshold.This can prepare for the speed measurement of belt conveyor.Finally,according to the characteristics of video of belt conveyor,the coordinate transformation model based on same side rollers of the belt conveyor is proposed to calculate the speed of coal blocks for the monitoring of belt conveyor.The experiments show that the proposed method can realize the abnormal monitoring of belt conveyor with fewer calibration points.The proposed coal motion monitoring method based on computer vision can monitor the motion speed of belt conveyor using the information of coal mine monitoring video,which is of great significance for the safe production of coal mine.
