Large profile rolling technology is a sign of a country's development in heavy industry,as the main component of the large mill frame castings,occupies an important position in the rolling mill equipment,directly affect the quality of rolling mill and the stability of the production of steel rolling,therefore,the research and development of complex shape frame of the casting process to improve the technology and rolling of steel rolling equipment manufacturing has important theoretical value and practical application value.This article adopts the numerical simulation method of combining the technology and experimental technology,through the analysis of the frame structure of casting find frame casting characteristics,cause and position of casting defects,and on the above analysis results,making the study plan,the numerical simulation for casting solidification features,defect formation,and discussed the casting process and casting process parameters on the frame casting defects,the influence of the optimization of casting process plan and process parameters,according to the frame with the parameters of the actual pouring castings,and succeed.Through these studiesThe deformation of the frame is divided into two parts,which is a distortion of the X direction in which the integral of the castings is contracted to the symmetrical surface.Another distortion of the Y direction in which the castings are shrunk in the center of the shaft.Due to the apparent difference in the direction of the temperature in the X direction,the difference of the casting in the Y direction of the casting is caused by the distortion of the outward bending.These two kinds of deformation are tensile stress in the bottom of the u-shaped openings,two different reasons of tensile stress superposition there have serious stress concentration,easy to produce hot crack;The scheme of riser and chill and brace scheme to a certain degree of control of casting stress and strain,which USES the brace scheme can effectively control of casting cracks,and obtain the smallest casting residual stress;Low casting temperature is used to control residual stress of castings.Optimization of the frame castings used for casting process,the frame with the actual pouring castings,and pass by ultrasonic inspection no casting defects in castings,using the MT and PT method to inspect the surface,found no frame castings surface crack defects,show that the optimization of casting process can produce to meet the requirements of design frame castings.
