The seamless steel pipe has important action in the country's economic development.It has been used in many fields such as oil exploitation and drill.The oil industry and drilling technology have carried out a large-scale industrial upgrading,lead to a higher mechanical properties demand of seamless steel pipe production since the 21 st century.Quenching as a control technology of changing metal tissue in steel industry,it can improve hardness of seamless steel pipe.Under this background,the quenching process of seamless steel pipe has been developed rapidly both at home and abroad.This paper is based on the production status of seamless steel tube heat treatment process.The issue is investigated in detail with the Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation's 177 unit seamless steel tube heat treatment line production has been unable to achieve the expected production capacity,and the water quenching process accident rate is high,the product qualification rate is low and so on.Firstly,this paper starts with the mechanical structure analysis of steel tube water quenching,and applies the theory of mechanics analysis to find out the real reason of the main defect affecting production rate which is the life of the water quenching rotary support equipment and pinch roller are low,and improve it to solve the problem of low production operating rate.Secondly,the strength of seamless steel pipe which is after quenching is experimented in this paper,and the results showed that the strength is uneven.This paper analyzes the influence of various factors on the uneven strength of steel pipe and puts forward some improvement measures to solve the problem of low pass rate of water quenching,the factors include cooling medium,cooling equipment and so on.Finally,this paper analyzes the stress of steel pipe in the process of water quenching,uses computer modeling,simulates the stress of steel pipe in the process of water quenching,finds a major cause of the steel tube bending which is the failure of the equipment caused the bending of steel pipe under high temperature,and puts forward some improvement measures to solve the problem of the steel tube bending rate is high.After site implementation and verification,the improvement effect of steel pipe is obvious,the on-site production efficiency and product qualification are better than that in the previous period,which not only meet demand for product strength and hardness of the customers,but also reduce production cost.
