With the reform and opening policy of our country,the national economy has developed rapidly.However,the problem of environmental contamination becomes more and more serious.Water environment is also facing great threats,protection of water resources is related to the development of modern agriculture and industry and people's health.How to achieve water quality monitoring has become a challenge all over the world.People are increasingly worried about the research and development of on-line real-time water quality monitoring system.At present,water data is mainly collected manually.As the result of the long time sampling interval,it is difficult to monitor the process of water quality continuously,and there is a big limitation in the actual using process.Nowadays,with the rapid development of sensor technology,the real-time monitoring of water resources has also developed from the initial artificial detection to the present automatic real-time monitoring.However,due to various kinds of water quality detection parameters,many types of sensor elements are needed to detect the water quality,so the devices,communication protocols,data processing methods and storage modes of these sensors are different,and each component cannot be well coupled,thus increases the difficulty in developing real-time monitoring of water quality and reduces its maintainability.Moreover,there are still some problems between heterogeneous networks and data resources sharing.Therefore,how to enhance the coupling between different kinds of sensors and to solve the heterogeneity of sensors and sensor networks and the non-sharing of resources has become the focus of the next direction.In order to solve the problems of connections and resource sharing between the heterogeneous sensor networks,OGC put forward a basic conception of SWE(Sensor Web Enablement).This standard has in fact become an industrial standard.The purpose of SWE is to provide a standard platform for sensor web so as to build a “plugin and play” web-based sensor network.In this paper,the status of water quality monitoring and the research status of WSN at home and abroad are discussed.This paper bases the concept of SWE framework,takes the water quality as the study object,takes turbidity and TDS value as observation parameters,uses related sensors and integrated wireless transmission module to achieve data acquisition,based on the three data encoding formats defined by SWE,O&M,TML and SensorML as the way of information description,designs and implements a water quality real-time monitoring observation servicesystem.On the basis of SOS service standard in the framework of SWE standard,develops Web applications that meet SOS service standards and real-time monitor water quality parameters,and achieve real-time and historical observation data through relevant requests so that the data sharing are achieved.Finally,the sensor related observation information is displayed in real time in the form of graphical interface.
