The ecological environment is closely related to human activities. It provides natural resources and living space for human development. The eco-environmental status of a region or city has a non-negligible impact on its social and economic development and residents' quality of life. Therefore, the issue of ecological environment has become one of the most important issues that many scholars at home and abroad are eagerly concerned about.Jiaozuo City,Henan Province,is a typical representative of resource-exhausted cities in the central region of China.Exploring changes in Jiaozuo City ecological environment in the past decade or so help us master the characteristics of ecological changes in real time and provide us a reference of urban ecological construction in Jiaozuo City. This paper uses Jiaozuo City as a research area, and selects Landsat remote sensing images of 2007,2011,2014 and 2017 from the region, supplemented by MODIS and DEM data, based on a comprehensive analysis of existing references and related results, using a combination of rule extraction and supervised classification is used to carry out remote sensing interpretation and land stability analysis of major land types in the study area. And then,it selects temperature, water area, soil moisture, soil brightness, elevation, slope, vegetation index, and vegetation coverage as ecological factors. We can determine the weight of each factor by means of an analytic hierarchy process establish a suitable ecological environment assessment model, and finally analyze the changes of the ecological environment in the study area, and obtain ecological environmental quality distribution maps for each period. The main research results are as follows:(1)The changes of vegetation and construction land are smooth and steady, and the changing of water is quite constable from 2007 to 2017 in Jiaozuo City. The analysis shows that the construction land is relatively stable, the percentage of transfer matrix is maintained at about 95%.The stability rate of vegetation is maintained at about 85%,because a certain area of vegetation is converted into construction land and the conversion ratio is about 14%.The stability of the water body is poor, and its stability rate is about 51.67%.(2)By establishing the hierarchical hierarchies, constructing judgment matrix, calculating weights, and consistency checking, the order of importance of various factors affecting the ecological environment change in Jiaozuo City is: water area, vegetation coverage, and NDVI,temperature, slope, soil moisture, elevation, soil brightness.(3)The EI average of 3.2,3.9,4.6 and 5.0 for the ecological environment quality in the study area is generally good as indicated by the phase IV images;the ecological environment level is from the worst and worst places to the other three mainly For the transformation of eco-environmental zones, the three grades of good and bad areas have increased in different degrees, mainly concentrated in the Yellow River floodplain in the south. The quality of eco-environment increased from 2007 to 2011 by one grade, and by 2017,the environmental grade has reached a good level and the ecological environment has been greatly improved.
