Bentonite,as an important inorganic mineral,has been widely used in many industries such as foundry,paper industry,civil engineering,edible oil and so on.China's bentonite resources are extremely rich,all over 26 provinces and cities,reserves the world's first,but the development and application level is not high.Many high-quality domestic bentonite,without screening directly on the pellet soil and other low-quality requirements of the field,resulting in a large number of high-quality resources wasted phenomenon.China is also a large exporter of bentonite ore,but the low direct price of mineral exports,disguised a great waste of mineral resources.But at the same time,many high-end bentonite,such as medical grade bentonite need to be imported.Therefore,the full use of China's bentonite resources,the development and utilization of bentonite mine to do the depth and breadth of development,has a very important practical significance.China's bentonite resources are mainly calcium-based bentonite,and the origin differs significantly nature and quality.Calcium-based bentonite modification technology is a key technology of bentonite deep processing,directly determines the final product performance and quality.In this paper,the modified conditions of calcium bentonite were analyzed,and their applications in casting materials,edible oil decolorization and civil engineering were studied respectively.The experiment selected Jiangsu Tangshan KF,YJS bentonite mineral source and Liaoning Chaoyang CY bentonite mineral source.The effects of modification of various modified conditions on the final were analyzed,and the modified conditions were influenced by the effects of sodium carbonate modification,sulfuric acid acidification and synergistic modification.The optimal modified conditions were obtained.(1)The application of casting materials,selecting Jiangsu Tangshan KF bentonite ore,as a wet sand binder bentonite products,under the conditions of a variety of factors on its effect of the sodium activation,using mechanical strength of the product for judging and finding the optimal conditions of sodium carbonate ratio.The results show that the addition ratio of sodium carbonate is the key factor affecting the sodium effect.With the increase of sodium carbonate,the activation effect is also improved,but with the progress of sodium carbonate,the activation effect will tend to decrease slowly.,The amount of sodium carbonate has an optimal value.In addition,the longer the sodium carbonate the longer the better the effect of sodium carbonate.At the same time,different ore source ore,and even the same ore source of different mining time of the ore,the corresponding optimal sodium conditions are also different.(2)The application of decolorization of edible oil was studied.The active bentonite was used as the decolorizing adsorbent for edible oil.The effect of its acidification condition on its product performance was investigated.The results showed that the key factors influencing the acidification were acid addition,acidification time and solid content.The increase of acid addition will increase the acidification effect,but too high will increase the amount of acidification effect of its reaction,the amount of its added value has the best value.Acidification time will increase the acidification effect,but the trend will tend to flat.Solid content also has the best value,too high too low is not conducive to acidification.(3)Bentonite for civil engineering was used to select the amount of sodium carbonate and the effect of synergist HB and CMC on mud performance.The results show that the increase of sodium carbonate during activation will increase the Marsh viscosity of the product.HB will increase the plastic viscosity of the product and increase the filtration loss.CMC will improve the filtration loss.
