Titanium oxide?TiO2?has drawn attention as photocatalyst,due to its relatively low cost,high stability and low toxicity.TiO2 has been widely used in many applications including gas sensors,dye-sensitized solar cells,most notably as a photocatalyst.However,due to the larger width of the forbidden band and the fast combination rate of electron-hole,limits its application to some extent.WO3 as a semiconductor has a relatively narrow band-gap width,Combined WO3 with TiO2,the synergistic effect of WO3 and TiO2 is beneficial to the transfer of carrier,which inhibits the combination of photogenic electron and cavity,and greatly improves hotocatalytic activity.Hydrothermal method is one of the most commonly used methods to prepared WO3/TiO2 composite,In this paper,WO3 is combined with the titanium dioxide nanorods,obtained WO3/TiO2 composites and explore its application in photocatalysis and electrochemistry,we have conducted a series of discussions and researches.Firstly,the effects of the amount of concentrated hydrochloric acid and different quality scores WCl6 on the structure and morphology of the product were explored.By SEM,TEM,XRD,UV-vis.the results showed that WO3 was successfully combined with TiO2 and the band width of the product was narrowed,in addition,we analyzed which was the best composition and structure of m-WO3/TiO2 composites prepared by the amount of concentrated hydrochloric and tungsten chloride.Then,the visible photocatalytic activity and electrochemical properties of m-WO3/TiO2 were tested.Photocatalytic performance indicates that the catalytic activity of m-WO3/TiO2 composites is significantly higher than commercial P25 in the same time under visible light.The electrochemical performance test also showed that the charge and discharge time of the same current density was higher than that of P25.In addition,a method to prepare WO3/TiO2 composite materials is proposed.This method firstly added the CPS/TiO2 and WCl6 with alcohol and water in the beaker,adsorp tion by evaporation to obtain water fluid precursor,then put the precursor in the water heat reaction kettle with deionized water and concentrated hydrochloric acid,finaliy,product is obtained after calcination.The structure and morphology were analyzed by SEM,TEM,XRD,UV-vis and other characterization methods.Then,we tested the photocatalytic activity and electrochemical properties of i-WO3/TiO2 composite materials.Photocatalytic activity tests showed that under the condition of visible light to photodegradation of MB,not only higher than P25degradation rate,but also higher than the m-WO3/TiO2.The electrochemical performance tests showed that the charge and discharge time in the same current density condition was higher than that of P25,and also higher than the m-WO3/TiO2prepared under the same conditions.
