Generally,N-carbamoyl amino acid has unique physiological function in vivo. They are the key-intermediates in the enzymatic hydantoinase-carbamoylase process for the produc-tion of amino acids from hydantoins. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectra and thermogravimetry. And the solvent evaporation method is adopted to develop the single crys-tal of the N-carbamoylmethionine Zinc compelex, the crystal of compound of C24H48N8O14S4Zn2 belongs to triclinic system, space group P-1,with cell parameters of a=5.5448(13)A,b=12.545(3)A,c=15.129(4)A,α=69/045(4)°,β=79.667(4)°,γ=86.938 °,V=966.8(4)A3,Z=1.The compound N-carbmylglycine Mn(Ⅱ)formular was C6H9N2O5MnCl,the manganese ion might in coordination with the carboxyl oxygen in lig-ands.Through single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment, the best conditions to synthesis N-carbamoylmethionine Zn(II)complex were the ratio of the ligand to Zn(II)is approximately 2:1,the reaction was stirred and maintained at 70℃for 120 min in the 6.0 pH.And the best conditions to synthesis N-carbmylglycine Mn(II)complex were the ratio of the ligand to Mn(II)is approximately 1:1,the reaction was stirred and maintained at 90℃for 90 min in the 5.0 pH.Using pH potentiometric method to obtain the constant of the two complex. The plus proto constant of the N-carbamoylmethionine amide were lgK1H=11.11,1gK2H=3.56,and the stability constants with Zn(II)was 15.10.The plus proto constant of the N-carbmylglycine were 1gK1H=9.12、1gK2H=3.82,and the stability constants with Mn(II)was 20.79.The stability constants of the two complexes were large,it is observed that these complexes were very stable. The uv-vis spectra and viscosity measurement was investigated the interaction of the two complexes with DNA.In N-carbamoylmethionine Zn(II)complex characteristic absorp-tion was changed with increase of the DNA concentration. The hypochromicity and the red shift was occurred, and the viscosity of DNA grows with increase of the concentration of the complex. It could be speculated that the complex interaction with DNA through insert way,the complex with DNA binding constant of 4.91×103M-1.In N-carbmylglycine Mn(Ⅱ)complex characteristic absorption, the hyperchromicity was occurred with increase of the DNA concentration, and the viscosity of DNA grows also with increase of the concentration of the complex. From these phenomena can be inferred the complex interaction with DNA through combining way.
