The shape of siphon pipe is a key factor affecting the flushing performance of siphon toilet,and it is often used to perform study on flushing performance by sanitary ware industry and scientific researchers.At present,the design of the structural parameters of siphon pipe is mainly based on the traditional production experience,which leads to the design data cannot be quantified and the development cycle of product is quite time-consuming.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out systematic and in-depth research on the relationship between the structural parameters of siphon pipe and flushing performance.In this thesis,the flushing processes of toilet were investigated by performing simulations and experiments,and the influence of structural parameters on flushing performance was analyzed.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:1.A multi-physics field coupling simulation model of the flushing process of toilet was established by using the computational fluid dynamics method and the discrete element method.2.The contact parameters between solid particles and solid particles,solid particles and toilet wall were measured and calibrated by high-speed camera technology and virtual experiment calibration method.3.The structure of siphon pipe was divided and characterized by six parameters,i.e.inclination angle,curvature width,curvature length,secondary water seal width,secondary water seal length and pipe diameter.The flushing capacity was defined as an evaluation index of flushing performance.4.The influence of siphon pipe structural parameters(inclination angle,curvature width,curvature length,secondary water seal width,secondary water seal length and pipe diameter)on flushing performance was studied using simulation method.The flushing capacity and variation tendency of flow field under different structural parameters were obtained.Furthermore,the structural parameter ranges of siphon pipe with better flushing performance were also determined.5.The experimental platform of toilet was set up,and the experimental study onthe influence of structural parameters of siphon pipe on the flushing performance was carried out.The change rules of the flushing performance under different structural parameters were obtained,and the consistency of simulation results and experimental studies was validated.6.Orthogonal experiment was conducted to analyze the significant influence of structural parameters of siphon pipe on flushing performance,and the structural parameter combination of siphon pipe with better flushing performance was obtained.
