The machine sight is a mechanical sighting device commonly used on light weapons. It is used to aim at the target when shooting. The part requires light weight, high strength and small deformation to ensure the accuracy and stability of shooting. In order to maximize the lightweight of the firearm and ensure the strength of the part, the machine sight is designed as a long U-shaped thin-walled structure, and the material is made of ultra-hard aluminum alloy 7A04 with low density and high strength in Al-Zn-Mg-Cu system.Affected by the material and the structure of the part, the die forging is difficult to form, and defects such as folding, filling dissatisfaction and crack are likely to occur during the forming process. In this paper, according to the structural characteristics of the machine sight, the blank drawing and the die structure are designed, and the forming process plan is proposed(the diameter of the raw material is ?40mm,the equipment adopts 63 KJ electro-hydraulic hammer, the forging temperature is 420 °C ~ 450 °C,and the animal grease is lubricated). The orthogonal experimental schemes of three main factors, such as blank length, depth of pre-forging cavity and number of final forging beats, were developed, and based on finite element simulation,a suitable process plan was optimized(blank length 220 mm,pre-forging depth 35 mm,final Forged hammer hit 3 times).Through the test forging verification, the forgings are full, the mechanical properties and the organization are meet the requirements of use.No defects such as cracks, folds and inclusions are found in the subsequent processing.
