Volatile organic compounds?VOCs?are one of the major pollutants in air pollution.In the process of disposal waste gas,enterprises often overlook the safety of the process,and some even cause explosion accidents,resulting in casualties,equipment losses and further environmental pollution.This subject was based on exhaust gas containing toluene/cyclohexane mixture components.The flash point tester,self-ignition temperature tester and explosion limit tester were used to analyze the variation law of the explosion and explosion characteristics,in order to determine the appropriate explosion-proof measures.The main achievements of this paper are as follows:The toluene/cyclohexane mixture increased with the proportion of toluene,the flash point increased from-17°C to 9°C,the theoretical flash point value estimated by saturated vapor pressure was in agreement with the experimental value.The auto-ignition temperature was increased from 264.1°C to 515.9°C,and decreased first and then increased with the increase of volume concentration.The lower limit of explosion increased from 0.972%to 1.251%.The toluene/cyclohexane?50/50?mixture decreased with the initial temperature,the lower explosion limit decreased from 1.372%to 1.037%,and the maximum allowable oxygen concentration decreased from 11.799%to 9.279%.Based on the liquid explosion limit tester,a gas mixture system of nitrogen,carbon dioxide and air was designed.The results show that the effect of carbon dioxide suppression is better than that of nitrogen.The absorption effect of phenylalanine-methanesulfonic acid ionic liquid on toluene and cyclohexane was determined,and the chemical structure of ionic liquid was characterized by infrared and nuclear magnetic properties.At 293.15K,the saturated uptake of toluene and cyclohexane by the ionic liquid was 32.5mg·g-1 and 20.6mg·g-1,respectively.Combined with the characteristics of organic exhaust gas explosion,the causes of explosion accidents in exhaust gas treatment process were analyzed,the hazardous areas were divided and the selection of explosion-proof equipment was provided to provide technical support for the prevention and control of similar explosion accidents.
