Emulsion explosives are widely used in mining,blasting,engineering construction and other fields as an industrial explosive.In the production process,the generation of defective products of emulsion explosives is unavoidable.Direct destruction of unqualified products will result in economic losses,as well as corresponding safety hazards and certain environmental pollution.In order to solve this problem,this article has studied the method and process for the treatment of emulsion explosives.In order to explore the stability and demulsification mechanism of emulsion matrix,the microscopic structure of emulsion explosives was explored by using microphotography.The factors that cause demulsification of emulsion explosive and the factors that affect the stability of emulsion explosive are explored and studied.The experimental results show that the emulsifier is the key factor affecting the storage stability of the emulsion explosive,and the polymer emulsifier can significantly improve explosive storage stability under the low temperature condition.Inhibition of ammonium nitrate crystallization and enhancement of oil film thickness are the fundamental methods to improve storage stability of emulsion explosives.At the same time,in order to analyze the causes of unqualified emulsion explosives including raw materials,process control,equipment causes and storage process.The safety of the traditional treatment of the unqualified emulsion explosive was discussed.The experimental results show that under the actual production conditions,the emulsion explosive storage period can be significantly improved by increasing the oil phase ratio or the ratio of the emulsifier.In order to explore the effects of formulation and dosage of sensitizer,material temperature and stirring speed on the treatment of unqualified products,the independent processing house for the unqualified emulsion explosives was build.The rework test of 22 batches of unqualified products and the production operation for nearly one year were carried out.The reworking products were treated with 2165.74 kg,and more than 150 tons of unqualified products were processed.According to the experimental results,the parameters of reworked emulsion explosives are determined as follows:The total amount of the mixed matrix is controlled at 150-220kg,the temperature is controlled at 45-55 ? before sensitization,the proportion of the foaming agent and the promoter F account for 2-2.5‰ and 0.5-1‰ respectively,and the temperature is controlled at 42 ? after sensitization,and the density after sensitization is 1.10-1.25 g/cm3.In order to verify the rationality of production technology,the detonation velocity and slamming experiments were used to study the explosive performance of the re-emulsified explosives.The performance of qualified products treated by process test and production operation is as follows:The average detonation speed is 4.6×103m/s,the explosion distance is 5cm,the density is 1.18 g/cm3,and the strength is 18.1mm,which conform to the quality requirements of the emulsified explosive(GB18095-2000),and the storage period is qualified.
