Aiming at the quality defects such as delamination at the entrance and exit,tearing and burrs during the drilling process of carbon fiber reinforced plastics(CFRP),this paper takes variant dimensional vibration-assisted drilling for CFRP as the research object by combining the theoretical analysis with experimental research.The variant dimensional vibration-assisted drilling device is proposed and tested,and by using the finite element method,the process of vibration assisted drilling of CFRP is simulated.Finally,the system of drilling of CFRP with variant dimensional vibration-assisted is established.The main contents and achievements of this paper are listed by the following:1.The design and finite element simulation of variant dimensional vibration-assisted drilling device is carried out.With the analysis of the cutting process of composite materials,a design method of variant dimensional vibration-assisted drilling device is proposed by considering The vibration components and layout of the vibration unit of the device.Based on that,The device prototype with multi-dimensional vibration is established,whose static analysis,harmonic response and transient analysis are carried out by finite element software.2.The performance of variant dimensional vibration-assisted drilling device is tested.In order to test the output performance of the variant dimensional vibration-assisted drilling device,a test platform was set up to test the device's frequency response,phase difference,output voltage,displacement resolution and maximum travel.3.The simulation of vibration assisted drilling of CFRP is studied.By combing the vumat programmed for the 3D CFRP,the cohesive element and the vibration movement boundary,the finite element model of vibration assisted drilling of CFRP is realized,whose results are analyzed to investigate the influence of vibration on the thrust force and delamination of the CFRP,providing the basis for the actual machining.4.Variant dimensional vibration-assisted drilling of CFRP processing system is developed.By designing the vibration control strategy at different stages of the drilling process,a variant dimensional vibration-assisted drilling system of CFRP is established,based on which the drilling experiment of CFRP is carried out.The experimental results show that the variant dimensional vibration-assisted drilling system can achieve the expected purpose.
