Impact-sliding friction can easily cause the abnormal wear and failure of the components. It is of great significance providing a wear condition monitoring method based on magnetic memory,to carry out experimental study on magnetic memory effect under this kind of friction condition. Therefore, the following researches are carried out in this paper:(1)The original DCWT-1000 friction wear tester was improved for the friction experiment, which could detect the sample's temperature, friction and other physical quantities.(2)A multifunctional off-line testing platform was developed for testing the samples' magnetic memory signal and micro-morphology of wear scars.(3)The magnetic memory effect of typical ferromagnetic materials under the impact-sliding conditions was studied. The magnetic memory signal's variation regularity on the friction surface under the conditions of different load, impact frequency and sliding speed were analyzed and the influence of different parameters to magnetic memory effect was clarified.(4)The various factors affecting the friction material of magnetic memory effect were analyzed.Combined with experimental research and microscope, the mechanism of magnetic memory effect was explored. The self leakage magnetic field in the area of dislocation slipping under the action of geomagnetic field and load was the main cause of the magnetic memory effect.(5)The wear scar under different conditions was tested and the relationship between magnetic memory signals and the wear scar was confirmed.By testing the samples' wear quantity and magnetic memory signal in the process of friction, the contact between the wear condition and the magnetic memory effect's characteristic parameter was analyzed. The typical distribution of samples' surface magnetic memory signals under different wear conditions was confirmed.
