The property and structure of crude oil emulsion become increasingly complex and the environment problem becomes increasingly serious,so the traditional method of demulsification cannot meet the requirements of high efficiency,energy saving,environmental protection.To solve the problem in the process of oil production and processing,two new demulsification methods using microwave and ultrasonic are researched to provide theoretical basis and experimental evidence for crude oil dewatering process.According to the mechanism of ultrasonic demulsification and the existing research results,the ultrasonic demulsification experiment device is designed,the factors of ultrasonic demulsification are studied,and the best condition of the ultrasonic demulsification is of 100 mg/L demulsifier concentration,23 kHz ultrasonic frequency,60 W ultrasonic power,1 min ultrasonic processing time,5 min settlement time.Then,the microwave demulsification experiment and the factors of dehydration rate are studied,and the best condition of microwave demulsification is of 100 mg/L demulsifier concentration,480 W microwave power and 90 ? processing temperature.The experiment also proves that the non-thermal effect of microwave can change the composition of crude oil,reduce oil viscosity and promote oil/water separation.Three kinds of crude oil with different properties are selected to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of microwave demulsification and ultrasonic demulsification from various aspects.The results show that ultrasonic demulsification has the advantage of low processing temperature,short demulsification time and microwave demulsification has the advantage of rapid heating rate,good dehydration effect at high temperature,and both are applicable to different types of crude oil emulsions.The demulsification of heavy oil emulsion is difficult,so the demulsification experiment using the combination of microwave and ultrasonic is tested.Compared with the ultrasonic or microwave demulsification alone,dehydration rate of union demulsification is higher.Experimental results show that ultrasonic demulsification method and microwave demulsification method are not only feasible and promising,but also can meet the development trend of high efficiency,low energy consumption,environmental protection.
