Nowadays, cyclic steam stimulation using horizontal well is one of the major recovery technologies for heavy oil reservoir with bottom water in the early stage. However,as the cycle of steam stimulation increases, the development effect gradually decreases with the worse steam channeling and bottom water flooding.Aiming at these problems, numerical and physical simulations are adopted to optimize steam flooding from cyclic steam stimulation using horizontal well in offshore heavy oil reservoir with bottom water. In order to evaluate development effect of cyclic steam stimulation,non-closed grid model has been established including bottom water system.A good fit result is obtained and then the analization is carried out for temperature filed, pressure field and residual oil saturation field after history match of block and single well.To characterize steam channeling, homogeneous model is employed to investigate the formation of steam flow channel due to sand production. Moreover, with the application of vertical heterogeneous geological model, the calculation is used to determine the relationship between well spacing, reservoir thickness, cycle of steam stimulation and steam invasion volume ratio. In addition,on the basis of numerical model after history match, the bottom water flooding of 6th,11th and 27th layer are discussed. With an aim to solve steam channeling and water flooding, single and double sand pack flood and 3D physical simulation has been carried out. Finally, based on the optimized pilot block for steam flooding, numerical test is implemented to investigate sensitivity and optimize opportunity of conversion, injection mode and parameters of injection and production. The result indicates that foam blocks steam flow channel effectively, which improves displacement efficiency and extends steam sweep volume.During the process of 3D physical simulation, there is 2.01%increment in oil recovery after gel plugging, which suggests that plugging effect is obvious. In addition, opportunity of conversion and production-injection ratio are the most significant factors for steam flooding from cyclic steam stimulation using horizontal well in heavy oil reservoir with bottom water.
