| With the rapid development of petroleum industry,a large number of refineries have been built in recent decades, and the amount of residual activated sludge produced in refinery has been increasing. The heavy metals contained in the residual activated sludge can cause potential safety hazard. We use electrochemical treatment as an useful treatment of residual activated sludge. At the same time, the heavy metals were enriched in the anode chamber and cathode chamber, which was more favorable for the removal of heavy metals. In this paper, the removal of heavy metals from the residual activated sludge in refinery was studied by the method of enhanced electrochemistry. This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the analysis of the properties of the remaining activated sludge in the refinery, with emphasis on the content of heavy metals, and the design of the experimental equipment. The second part is to optimize the acidification condition of remove heavy metals from activated sludge. The third part is to optimize conditions of electrochemical experiment. In the last part, several methods were used to enhance the effect of electrochemical experiments.Based on the experimental results,we propose a combined method to treat the heavy metals in the activated sludge. This is method that can reduce the corrosion of anode, increase the conductivity, improve the efficiency of extracting heavy metals. At the same time, cathode liquid circulation can reduce the corrosion of anodic. The innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)a large number of studies reported are the residual activated sludge of municipal wastewater treatment plant. This paper selects the residual activated sludge in wastewater treatment plant of refinery production as the research object;(2)this paper established a combined method to treat activatedsludge, this method improves the removal efficiency and reduces the processing cost;(3)electric extraction can effectively reduce the heavy metal content. |
