Graphene nanoscrolls?GNSs?is a new type of one-dimensional carbon nanomaterials by rolling up two-dimensional graphene sheets.GNSs have shared the similar properties with the basal building block---graphene such as high thermal conductivity,excellent electrical conductivity and strong mechanical properties.Compared to carbon nanotube?CNT?,GNSs possess open ends,adjustable interlayer galleries and diameter by intercalation or doping.Due to their special topological structure,GNSs are expected to have great potential applications in energy storage,supercapacitors,and catalytic.It has gradually attracted people's interest in the study.This paper from the following aspects of research on it:In this paper,three methods to prepare graphene nanoscrolls were first explored.Among them,the experimental conditions of the ultrasonic method were optimized.Then GNSs were preparaed by lyophilization method and their electricatalytic oxidation performance of methanol were studied.The main contents are as follows:?1?Preparation of graphene nanoscrollsGraphene nanoscrolls were prepared by hydrophobic particle-induced method,vacuum drying method and ultrasonic method.Then,the influencing factors of forming GNS in ultrasonic experiment were studied.Firstly,graphene oxide was prepared by Staudemaier method,and then it was reduced through thermal reduction.Poly?2-?dimethylamino?ethyl methacrylate??PDMAEMA?with pyrene terminated were prepared via ATRP polymerization.Afterwards,drops on the silicon substrate with the solution of PDMAEMA,rGO and C60 in sequence.After ultrasonic,the heterogeneous multilayer film could be abscised to fragmentation and scrolled spontaneous in solvent.The structure and morphology of PDMAEMA/rGO/C60 nanoscrolls were characterized by IR,SEM and TEM.The influence factors of their scrolling behavior were also studied.?2?Preparation of GO-PDA-Au nanoscrolls and its electricatalytic oxidation of methanolFirstly,Polydopamine?PDA?adhesion on the surface of GO sheets,GO-PDA composites were prepared.After,different sizes of gold nanoparticles were uniformly loading on their surface,and GO-PDA-Au sheets were obtained.Then GO-PDA-Au nanoscrolls were synthesized successfully through the liquid nitrogen freezing and drying.The structure and morphology of GO-PDA-Au nanoscrolls are characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy?FTIR?and UV-vis absorption spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction?XRD?,Raman spectroscopy and transmission eletron microscopy?TEM?.The electrocatalytic activity of methanol with GO-PDA-Au nanoscrolls and GO-PDA-Au sheets as electrodes were conducted.Compared to GO-PDA-Au sheets,GO-PDA-Au nanoscrolls showed better electrocatalytic activity and electrochemical stability owing to their scrolled structure.GO-PDA-Au nanoscrolls will have great application prospects in catalysis.
