In the anode materials,the PbO2 electrode has the advantages of high electrocatalytic activity,good corrosion resistance,good conductivity and low cost.The PbO2 electrode is widely used in the field of organic waste water.In this paper,pulse electrodeposition methods were used to prepared PbO2-CeO2 nanocomposite electrodes.The electrical catalytic degradation performance was studied.The PbO2-CeO2 nanocomposite electrodes were prapared by pulse current electrodeposition.It was evaluated that the influence of pulse parameters on the content of CeO2 in coatings,Surface morphology,crystal structure,service life and electrochemical property.The main pulse parameters contained frequency,duty cycle and peak current density.The composite electrodes were prepared under optimum conditions:frequency 10 Hz,duty cycle 25%,peak current density 120 mA/cm2.The results showed that,the content of CeO2 was 12.01 wt%,and the grain size decreased to 14.1 nm.The service life could reach 218 h,which is 1.8 longer than that prepared by direct current electrodeposition.The electrochemical test manifested the composite electrodes prepared by pulse current electrodeposition had better electrocatalytic property than that prepared by direct current electrodeposition.The PbO2-CeO2 nanocomposite electrodes were prapared by reverse pulse current electrodeposition.The influence of reverse pulse parameters on the content of CeO2 in coatings was evaluated.The main reverse pulse parameters contained reverse frequency,reverse duty cycle and reverse peak current density.The optimum conditions was reverse frequency 25 Hz,reverse duty cycle 80%,reverse peak current density 30 mA/cm2.The results showed that,the coatings became more smaller.The content of CeO2 was 16.22 wt%,and the grain size decreased to 10.7 nm.The service life could reach 285 h,which is 2.4 longer than that prepared by direct current electrodeposition.The electrochemical test indicated that the oxygen evolution potential was the best used by the electrode prepared by reverse pulse current electrodeposition.Used the PbO2-CeO2 nanocomposite electrodes parpared by reverse pulse current electrodeposition to electro-catalytic degradation of Alizarin Red S?ARS?wastewater.The process condition for degradation of ARS was investigated.Experimental results indicated the optimum process condition on ARS degradation was,current density 35 mA/cm2,original concentration of ARS 30 mg/L,concentration of electrolyte?Na2SO4?0.03 mol/L and pH 4.In the optimum process condition,the degradation rate of ARS reached 98%and the COD removal rate can reach 71%.Compared with the other electrodes in the optimum process condition,the electrode prepared by reverse pulse current performed better electrocatalytic oxidation ability.
