With the rapid development of manufacturing industry,high efficiency cutting tools are very important in advanced manufacturing technology.The reasonable geometry and geometric parameters of the tool will directly affect the tool life and product processing quality.The traditional tool measurement method can only obtain 2D projection image of cutter edge,but not reflect the complete geological shape and defect of tool surface with certain limitations.In this paper,3D model of cutting tool is obtained by 3D measurement of surface structured light,and its geometric parameters are measured.In this paper,the phase unwrapping technology,CCD camera and projector calibration technology,tool turntable calibration technology,tool point cloud splicing technology and filtering processing technology are developed.The research of following aspects is mainly carried out:This paper first presents the background and significance of the research?namely the geometric parameters of the cutting tool are measured by surface structured light 3D measurement technology?.Aiming at the shortcomings of the traditional system model,an improved model is proposed to measure the cutting tool.Then several phase unwrapping algorithms are studied in detail,and the five frequency phase unwrapping method is selected as the main algorithm.Secondly,the reference coordinate system involved in CCD camera calibration is introduced,and the pinhole model and lens distortion mathematical model of CCD camera are introduced.50%Gray level chess board and Black and white chess board are used to jointly calibrate CCD camera and projector as for the system calibration precision and measurement precision,and based on Zhang Zhengyou calibration method.Secondly,the rotating joint of tool point cloud is studied in detail.The tool point cloud splicing model is established.The paper proposed the method of calibrating O1 origin and Z1 shaft of Tool table coordinate system with Checker board and verified the tool turntable may effectively achieve the split joint of point cloud through Rotating experiment of tool point cloud.And then,the paper discusses the importance of filtering processing in tool measurement system.Filtering noise becomes an essential link.The paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of Classical image filtering method and introduces the filtering method used in the paper,and verifies the effectiveness of Frequency domain filtering method based on DFT.Finally,the experimental platform is built,the 3D measurement of the surface structure light is carried out,and the concrete steps of the tool measurement experiment are summarized.The 3D model of tool is reconstructed through experiments,and the measurement results are analyzed.The experimental results show that the method used in this paper can accurately and effectively measure the parameters of the tool,which lays the foundation for the measurement of other complex tools.
