As an important inorganic chemical product,magnesium oxide has been widely used in the preparation of rubber,plastics,food,medicine,chemical reagent and other various industries.The preparation methods of activated magnesium oxide is mainly reported by calcination of magnesite,magnesium hydroxide,magnesium carbonate and bischofite.Research reports are few for functionality,specificity the activity and particle size,nanoscale preparation of magnesium oxide were focused often and magnesium.Oxide bulk density,specific surface area and other performance parameters was researched rarely.The bulk density characteristics of magnesium oxide,Fiber Reinforced Plastics for magnesium oxide and calcined magnesium hydroxide preparation by magnesium oxide activity changes were studied in the paper.Firstly,the influences on bulk density of magnesium oxide was researched by calcined magnesium hydroxide in order to control bulk density.Analysis of precursor magnesium hydroxide,calcining conditions.It is found the types of precursor magnesium hydroxide,calcining conditions,physical disaggregation have influenced on the bulk density of magnesium oxide.The results showed that the bulk density of magnesium oxide is proportional to bulk density of precursor magnesium hydroxide which is related with synthesis method.The bulk density of magnesium oxide increases 1-2 times with precipitant concentration increased 1-2 times by using brine with ammonia and brine with sodium hydroxide.The bulk density of magnesium oxide can be increased by 50%through physical disaggregation method.The fiber reinforced plastic for magnesium oxide from Israel was analyzed,by TG-DTA,TEM,citric acid activity,specific surface area,bulk density and other performance parameters.Three high activity magnesium oxide from Meishen Group Co.Ltd was improved by using fluidized bed.The results showed that No.2 sample magnesium oxide at normal temperature,humidity 45%RH,30m3/h velocity reaction120min.The product of magnesium hydroxide content is 20.42%,the specific surface area102m~2/g,citric acid activity 25.21s and bulk density 0.325g/cm~3.The results of TG and TEM showed that the performance of magnesium oxide reached to that of the imported products.Magnesium hydroxide from Ube is calcined for magnesium oxide.Product was characterized by citric acid active and specific surface area.The results showed that longer calcination time and higher temperature is not beneficial to preparation of highly active magnesium oxide.Calcining temperature 500?,calcining time 2h,the magnesium oxide is of the highest activity.Citric acid activity is 7.5s,specific surface area of 124 m~2/g.Functional magnesium oxide preparation is based on market demand.Development of magnesium oxide products special using has become researching focus.
