In this paper,we use three nitrogen-containing ligands,2,8-di?1H-imidazol-1-yl?dibenzofuran?L?,3,5-bis?4-pyridyl?-pyridine?BPYPY?,5-?pyridin-4-ylamino?isophthalic acid?L3?,as the main organic ligands in the presence of Co???/Ni???/Zn???/Cd???metal salt under solvothermal conditions, and we have formed eleven coordination polymers.Their syntheses, structures and properties were studied and discussed. The main work includes the following two parts:1.Five new cobalt???coordination architectures,{[Co?L?2?H2O?2]·2H2O·2NO3}n?1?,{[Co?L??ppda?]-2H2O}n?2?,{[Co2?L??ppda?2]2·H2O}n?3?,{[Co?L??nba?]·5H2O}n?4?,{[Co?L??oba?]2-3H2O}n?5?,have been constructed from the rigid ligand L[L=2,8-di?1H-imidazol-1-yl?dibenzofuran]and different flexible carboxylic acid ligands[H2ppda=4,4'-?perfluoropropane-2,2-diyl?dibenzoic acid,H2nba=4,4'-azanediyldibenzoic acid,H2oba=4,4'-oxydibenzoic acid].Depending on the nature of the solvent systems, these five different coordination polymers were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,IR,PXRD and elemental analysis.Compounds 1,2 and 3 were obtained by one-pot method, then we utilized the solvent-induced effect to obtain almost pure crystals 1-3,respectively.Compound 1 is an infinite 1D chain which is formed by L ligands and Co atoms.Compound 3 contains a[Co2?CO2?4]secondary building unit?SBU?,and can be topologically represented as a 6-connected 2-fold interpenetrating pcu net with a point symbol of {412·63}.Compound 4 can be characterized as a 4-connected sql tetragonal planar network with the point symbol of {44·62}.In compounds 2 and 5,there are a 1D chain which is formed by flexible carboxylic acid ligands and Co atoms, then the 1D chain is linked by the L ligands in the tilting direction, leading to the formation of a 2D layer.Furthermore,UV-vis,TGA and magnetic properties studies have been investigated in detail.2.Solvothermal reactions of 3,5-bis?4-pyridyl?-pyridine?BPYPY?with 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate?1,4-bdc?and trans-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid?trans-chdc?in the presence of Co???and Ni???salts in DMF/H2O or DMA/CH3CN/H2O produced three new compounds,namely,{[Co3?BPYPY?2?1,4-bdc?3?H2O?6]}n?6?,{[Ni3?BPYPY?2?1,4-bdc?3?H2O?6]}n?7?,{[Co?BPYPY??trans-chdc?0.5?NO3?]·?H2O?}n?8?.These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis,IR spectroscopy, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction.Compounds 6 and 7 are isomorphous and present 3,4-connected 3-fold interpenetrating tfz network with a point symbol of {63}2{64·8·10}3.Compound 8 exists binuclear Co clusters which are linked by BPYPY and trans-chdc to generate a 4-connected cds network with the point symbol of {65·8} and displays antiferromagnetic character. In addition, the thermal stabilities of these new compounds also have been discussed in detail.3.Three new metal-organic frameworks,namely,{[Zn3?L3?2?H2O?2?HCOO?2]}n?9?,{[Cd?L3??H2O?2]·2.5H2O}n?10?,{[Co?L3?2?H2O?2]}n?11??L=5-?pyridin-4-ylamino?isophthalic acid?,have been obtained from the self-assembly of the bifunctional ligand with different metal salts under solvothermal reactions. These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis,IR spectroscopy, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction.Compound 9 exists a trinuclear Zn cluster which is linked by two coordinated formate ions and two carboxylic groups to generate a 2-fold interpenetrating rtl network with the point symbol of {4·62}2 {42·610·83}.Compound 10 has a 2-fold interpenetrating 3-connected ths net with a point symbol of {103}.Compound 11 displays a 0D structure, furthermore, adjacent 0D structures are packed into 3D supramolecular structure by hydrogen bonding interactions. In addition, the thermal stabilities, photochemical properties, and the magnetic properties of compound 3 also have also been explored in detail.
