It is a prominent feature of the sublevel caving method is that ores under the loose rock overburden of caved ore, mining and ore removal.Loose rock overburden consists of different block size. With the increase of mining depth, rock granularity appeared on the small natural grading phenomena. As a result of the existence of natural grading phenomena, covering layers at the bottom of the tiny particles easily blended into caving ore body.Natural grading phenomena affect mine loss of dilution. This paper puts forward that the loose rock overburden the influence of particle size on the natural classification problem.According to the demand of the experinent,we have designed a set of experiment system device. This device has a variety of functions and it can be used in the study of ore,the natural classification and particle movement. We finish the production and debugging experiment system device.Through experiment system device natural classifying physical simulation experiment was carried out.Simulation experiment was carried out using PFC software at the same time. The following results were obtained:1.We have designed a set of experiment system device. The device has a variety of functions and it can be used in the study of ore,the natural classification and particle movement. We finish the production and debugging experiment system device;2.We had a loose cover rock granularity physical simulation experiments of natural classification effect through the experiment system device;3.Through the experiment we found that particle size has important effect on natural classification.Under the condition of the same weight, the more uniform particle size of loose rock overburden, the less prone to natural classification; The larger the gap,the prone to natural classification;4.We made two sets of granularity uniformity simulation experiments of different rock overburden movement using PFC software.Simulation further proved the existence of natural grading phenomena and the influence of particle size on the natural classification, the result is consistent.
