The traditional epoxy curing agent was the type of solvent-based containing benzene formaldehyde and other volatile organic compounds,causing great harm to human health and social environment.Therefore,the water-based epoxy curing agent of greens environmental protection was studied that water instead of solvent had far-reaching significance meet the requirements of environmental protection and green industry development.In this paper,The synthesis conditions of waterborne epoxy curing agent was mainly studied,and the properties of synthetic water-based epoxy curing agent and water-based epoxy emulsion at room temperature in the tinplate surface curing film properties were tested.The tetraethylenepentamine and tetraethylenepentamine and m-xylylenediamine were modified as the mixed amine with bisphenol A type epoxy resin and polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether as the composite epoxy resin respectively.The modified products were synthesized by using alkyl glycidyl ether and phenyl glycidyl ether as the compound end-capping agent to synthesize two kinds of nonionic composite water-based epoxy curing agent.Based on the conversion of epoxy value and water solubility as the index,the synthesis conditions of the two curing agents were explored.The structures of two kinds of nonionic composite waterborne epoxy curing agents were characterized by FT-IR.The properties of the two kinds of waterborne epoxy curing agent and waterborne epoxy emulsion at room temperature were measured as the indexes of the surface of the tinplate,the curing properties of the film were characterized by SEM,and the thermal stability of the film was characterized by TG-DTA,and in accordance with the national standard GB/T4612-2008 on the film hardness,adhesion,chemical resistance and other properties were tested.The specific research contents were as follows:(1)The non-ionic composite waterborne epoxy curing agent was synthesized by tetraethylenepentamine(TEPA)as substrates reacting with mixed resin that containing low molecular weight epoxy resin(DER331)and poly glycoldiglycidyl ether(PGGE)and then blocked by composite sealing agent that consists of Phenyl ether(PGE)and alkyl(C12-C14)glycidyl ether(AGE).The optimum synthesis conditions were investigated and the structure of the product was characterized by infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR).The properties of curing film of non-ionic composite waterborne epoxy curing agent and waterborne epoxy emulsion were investigated.The results showed that molar ratio of primary amine and epoxy group was 2.3:1 and the initial reaction temperature was 65 C,the reaction time was 3 hours and the ratio of AGE to PGE was 3:7,with the waterborne epoxy resin emulsion.cured paint film,surface dry time was 2 hours,the hardness reached 2H(after 20 hours),the adhesion was 1 grade,acid and alkali resistance and water resistance was superior.(2)The non-ionic composite waterborne epoxy curing agent was synthesized by tetraethylenepentamine(TEPA)and m-xylylenediamine(MXDA)mixture as substrates reacting with mixed resin that containing low molecular weight epoxy resin(DER331)and poly glycoldiglycidyl ether(PGGE)and then blocked by composite sealing agent that consists of butyl glycidyl ether(BGE)and alkyl(C12-C14)glycidyl ether(AGE).The optimum synthesis conditions were investigated and the structure of the product was characterized by infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR).The properties of curing film of non-ionic composite waterborne epoxy curing agent and waterborne epoxy emulsion were investigated.The results showed that molar ratio of primary amine resin and epoxy group was 2:1,and the initial reaction temperature was 55?,the reaction time was 2.5 hours and the ratio of BGE to AGE was 3:1,with the waterborne epoxy resin emulsion cured paint film,surface dry time was 2 hours,the hardness reached 3H,the adhesion was 1 grade,acid and alkali resistance and water resistance was superior.
