Supramolecular chemistry is developed from the research of macrocyclic molecular from generation to generation,in general,scientist will design and synthesize the structure of host molecular,then more and more work will be carried out to explore the properties of these molecules and try to find out the guest molecular,which can have an efficient bind with the host.Based on these host-guest interaction,supramolecular chemistry has more application in smart material and bioscience area.Among these host structure,cryptands and pillararenes have unique 3D-structures and properties,these characterizes of cryptands and pillararenes enable them suitable as a platform for the fabrication of various functional systems and dynamic materials.Therefore,this dissertation focuses on the special cavity of cryptand and form supramolecular polymer.We also based on the interaction of pillararene,build an organic gelator,which can be used in soft material.Part 1.By linking BMP32C10 and DB24C8 motifs together,a four-armed cryptand 2-1 is synthesized successfully,in which BMP32C10 motif can bind paraquat 2-2 while DB24C8 motif could complex dibenzylammonium salt 2-3 in spite of the electrostatic repulsion between guests 2-2 and 2-3.The base/acid responsive supramolecular polymer is constructed further via two kind of host-guest interactions between cryptand 2-1 and two homoditopic paraquat 2-4 and dibenzylammonium salt 2-5 similar to guests 2-2 and 2-3.Part 2.A pillar[6]arene-functionalized cholesterol derivative 3-1 was synthesized as a low molecular weight gelator(LMWG),which could form an organogel in the cyclohexane/n-hexanol(10:1,v/v)at 10?.The resulting organogel was reversibly.Responsive to the temperature and shear stress,respectively,and more importantly,it also could be tuned into the solution by the addition of ferrocenyl aminium derivative 3-2 and tuned back into the organogel followed by the addition of per-butylated pillar[6]arene(P[6]),due to the host-guest interactions.In summary,this dissertation has investigated two kind of macrocyclic compound,cryptand and pillararene,based on their unique structure and properties,we construct supramolecular and organic gelator,respectively.these interaction can be control by outside stimuli.These researches will pave a way for the further study of functional systems and dynamic materials based on supramolecular host.
