With the growing consumer awareness of health and environmental, people's requirements of leather goods with anti-bacterial,anti-mildew and anti-odor are also rising.Fatliquoring process is an essential step in the process of leather. If the fatliquor comes with anti-mildew and antibacterial properties, not only simplifies the production process and reduce the cost, but also improves the function of anti-mildew and antibacterial leather. Therefore, the development of antibacterial and anti-mildew fatliquor has become an important means to improve the quality of leather.Study on antibacterial and anti-mildew fatliquoring agent is one of the important directions to develop multi-functional fatliquor. In this thesis, the synthesis and application of antibacterial and anti-mildew fatliquors are divided into three parts:the first part is the screening of raw materials for anti-mildew and antibacterial fatliquor;the second part is the preparation of intermediate esterification products;the third part is the preparation and application of antibacterial and anti-mildew fatliquoring agent.Screening of antibacterial and anti-mildew raw material oil:testing the antibacterial and anti-mildew property of animal oil, vegetable oil and mineral oil.according to the halo method, the results showed that the antibacterial and anti-mildew effect was:lauric acid>coconut oil>triolein>butter>rapeseed oil>oil>normal saline>fish oil>mineral oil>Phospholipids, lauric acid has the best antibacterial property among them, coconut oil followed.Because coconut oil contains about 48%lauric acid and coconut oil is more suitable for the modification of fatliquor,so coconut oil was selected as crude oil for synthetic antibacterial and anti-mildew fatliquoring agent.Preparation of intermediate esterified products:according to the screening results.coconut oil as the raw material, the coconut oil was subjected to alcoholysis reaction with polyethylene glycol-400,esterification reaction with maleic anhydride, and the products were tested for antimicrobial activity, and the best technological conditions were determined for the synthesis of antibacterial and anti-mildew intermediate esterification products. The experimental results show that the optimum conditions of preparation of intermediate esterification products are:the mole ratio of coconut oil to polyethylene glycol-400 is 1:2,the reaction temperature was 130? and the reaction time was 3h.The molar ratio of the oil with the hydroxyl to maleic anhydride was 1:0.7,the reaction temperature was 130? and the reaction time was 3h.The antibacterial effect of the synthesized esterified product was good, the diameter of the inhibition zone was 31.50mm,and the antibacterial rate was 85.2%by the shaking method.Preparation and application of antibacterial and anti-mildew fatliquor:using the intermediate esterified product react with sodium sulfite to produce antibacterial antibacterial and anti-mildew fatliquor finished product, the prepared fatliquoring agent was applied to the skin and the skin was carried out antibacterial test and fatliquoring test. The results show that the dosage of sodium sulfite is not affected to the antibacterial and anti-mildew property of fatliquor. When the dosage of sodium sulfite is 25%of the mass of oil,the reaction temperature was 75? and the reaction time was 2.5h,the fatliquor is stable including its lotion, this fatliquor also gives the skin a good effect greasing and antibacterial and anti-mildew effects, the fatliquor emulsion is more stable and applied to the skin, the leather is soft and the grain is fine, the absorption rate of the fatliquor is better. The anti-fungal activity ratio of finishing agent applied to the skin up to 85.4%,and inhibition zone is up to 24mm.
