In the past decade,visible photocatalysis have drawn great attention owing to their outstanding performance in degradation of organic pollutants,hydrogen production from water and energy conversion.Many metal oxide compounds containing bismuth as photocatalysts were extensively investigated because of their unique band structures,including BiVO4,Bi2WO6,Bi2MoO6,etc.The valence band?VB?is hybridized by Bi 6s and O 2p level,it would greatly contribute to the band gap narrowing and visible-light absorption of Bi-based oxides.g-C3N4 has received significant attention and well studied because of its robust surface chemistry,significant recyclability,nontoxicity and low cost.However,the photocatalytic activity of single photocatalyst is restricted due to the higher recombination rate of the photogenerated carriers.Therefore,it is meaningful to design composite photocatalyst with higher photocatalytic activity.A series of g-C3N4/BiNbO4 and g-C3N4/Bi2WO6 composite photocatalysts with various compositions were synthesized through and the photocatalytic activities under visible light were also investigated.The prepared composites were characterized by XRD,FT-IR,XPS,FE-SEM,EDS,B.E.T.surface area analysis,UV-vis-DRS and PL.The photocatalytic ability of the novel photocatalyst was investigated through the degradation of rhodamine B?RhB?under visible light irradiation.Experimental results showed that g-C3N4/BiNbO4 displayed excellent photocatalytic activity.Enhanced photocatalytic activity of composite material was attributed to the formation of the heterojunction between g-C3N4 and BiNbO4,which greatly reduces the recombination rate of photogenerated charge carriers.Compared with pure Bi2WO6 and g-C3N4,the g-C3N4/Bi2WO6 displayed a significant enhanced photocatalytic activity.And after the four recycling run,the photocatalytic activity of g-C3N4/Bi2WO6 is still remained prossess good photocatalytic performance.The experimental results indicating that the g-C3N4/Bi2WO6photocatalyst prossess excellent photocatalytic activity and great stability.
