| As one of the industries with strong propelling effect on national economy,the exhibition industry has been given high priority to by relevant departments and authorities of various levels.The Chinese exhibition industry has witnessed rapid development over the years and how exhibition organizers achieve greater progress under the new development circumstances is an issue worthy of study.Based on the development status and internal and external environment of CCPIT Sub-council of Chemical Industry(CCPITCHEM),this paper aims to explore the development strategy of this organization by method of SWOT analysis....In analyzing the internal and external environment of CCPITCHEM,this paper mainly uses PEST analysis,which helps to identify and select 20 key factors having impact on the development of the organization.SWOT matrix is used to integrate them to generate four strategies including:expanding to other industries as a professional exhibition company,developing new projects with innovative and flexible methods,transforming into a media organization in chemical industry offering diversified services,and enhancing corporate management to increase competitiveness.Through comparisons and analysis,the first strategy is chosen as prioritized strategy.The suggested strategy aims to break the industry boundary for CCPITCHEM and to seize opportunities in other related areas.This paper offers pathways in the above areas and raises points worthy of consideration.This paper points out that exhibition organizations including CCPITCHEM need to look towards the future and focus on addressing key issues hindering their long-term and innovative development,and with new projects as the breakthrough point,to continue paces of reform and ensure long-standing growth in the fiercely competitive marketplace. |
