Due to the low cost of production and the excellent mechanical properties,Aluminum-magnesium alloy has been widely used in our daily life.It's indispensable in many industries,such as automobile industry and electronic products industry.Like many other alloy,al-mg alloy also shows an irregular yield phenomenon.It performed as stress serration and strain localization.We usually called it dynamic strain aging.Dynamic strain aging results from the dynamic interaction of mobile dislocations and solute atoms.When it happens,the material will go through a work hardening and repeated yielding process.The surface of the material might become coarse due to the strain localization.Dynamic strain aging in al-mg alloy will increase the difficulties of processing and severely affect the machine working.It's of vital importance to figure out the characteristics of dynamic strain aging in al-mg alloy.With the progress of science and technology,our lifestyle had changed a lot.To meet our higher demands some new type of al-mg alloy with a better mechanical properties is very much in need.Since then we should do more work about dynamic aging in al-mg alloy.This paper researches in the characteristics of dynamic strain aging using numerical simulation.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Apply finite element method to simulate the dynamic strain aging.Based on a kind of Continuum constitutive model,using the Abaqus umat subroutine,we got some good results.We find that strain rate and the thickness of the plate influence the dynamic strain aging a lot.(2)We take a further analysis of the simulation results,and find that if the dynamic strain aging happened,the strain rate and time increment were somehow related.(3)Apply molecular dynamics simulation by lammps.It turns out that the size of Mg alloy group affect the dynamic strain aging a lot.while how much the twin boundary influence the dynamic strain aging depends on the direction of it.
