Thermoluminescence?shorthand for TL?and Optically Stimulated Luminescence?shorthand for OSL?has widely used in the ionizing radiation monitoring.Because of the excellent characteristics of the OSL that became the advanced ionizing radiation dose monitoring technology.The carbon doped sapphire crystal has the excellent properties in OSL,it is the only use of materials,nowadays.This dissertation inspired by the doped carbon sapphire crystal,development and preparation of the carbon doped aluminum oxynitride transparent ceramics?shorthand for AlON:C?,and research the TL and OSL performance about it,mainly carries out researches in the following two areas:?1?Pressureless sintering prepare AlON:C tra nsparent ceramics:useing AlON powder,after dry pressure and 200MP cold isostatic pressing,get the green body of AlON ceramic.Pressureless sintering in the sintering furnace through the graphite heating at 1950?for 10 hours in the nitrogen atmosphere.In the process of sintering,successfully get AlON:C transparent ceramics by graphite atmosphere infiltration method.Research the TL and OSL performance about the AlON:C transparent ceramics dosimeter samples.The sample has a single thermoluminescence p eak at the 350K Kelvin temperature after?-ray irradiated.The OSL decay curves of?-ray irradiated show the characteristics of first fast attenuation and then the attenuation become slower.The repeatability of TL is good,but the 470 nm blue LED can't inspire the electron captured in the electron trap after irradiation,that show the signal accumulation phenomenon after continuous irradiation.Under the irradiation of?-ray,the TL intensity response curves has a good linear in the range of 50mGy115Gy.Under the irradiation of?-ray the OSL intensity response curves has a good linear in the range of 50mGy50Gy and50Gy100Gy.Under the irradiation of?-ray and?-ray,in the range of50mGy500mGy,the TL and OSL intensity response curves has a good linear.Under the same dose irradiation,the OSL intensity about?-ray irradiated is 76%of the the OSL intensity about?-ray irradiated,the TL intensity about?-ray irradiated is 50%of the the TL intensity about?-ray irradiated?2?Hot pressing sintering prepare AlON:C transparent ceramics:using high temperature calcination prepares the carbon doped alumina?Al 2O3:C?powder.Then using the different carbon content Al 2O3:C powder?0ppm?1000ppm?3000ppm?5000ppm?to prepare the different carbon content AlON:C ceramics with transmission of light.Use the XRD and SEM to researched the transparency effects of the different mole ratio of Al 2O3-AlN and hot pressing sintering in different temperature under nitrogen atmosphere for 2.5h with 25MP pressure.Select the highest transmittance process as the AlON:C preparation technology.Research the TL and OSL performance about the different carbon content AlON:C transparent ceramics dosimeter samples.The sample prepared by the 3000ppm carbon content Al 2O3:C powder has the strongest TL and OSL intensity.It appeares two TL peak at the 343K and473K Kelvin temperature after?-ray irradiated.Compared with Pressureless sintering prepare AlON:C samples,the hot-pressing prepare AlON:C ceramic dosimeter samples using Al2O3:C powders and AlN powders as the raw material have smaller dispersion.The hot pressing sintering prepare AlON:C ceramic dosimeter with low light transmittance is one of the causes of signal accumulation.Under the irradiation of?-ray,the OSL intensity response curves about the sample prepared by the 3000ppm of Al 2O3:C has a good linear in the range of 50mGy100Gy.
