| China’s drinking vessel design has a long history of development.It has not only pr ofoundly influenced the Chinese people’s lifestyle and dietary concepts,but also promote d the formation and development of China’s etiquette and banqueting system.Drinking ve ssel design is based on meeting practical functions.In different historical eras,the functio ns,materials,and cultural connotations of Chinese traditional drinking vessels are differe nt due to different levels of productivity and different lifestyles.As the carrier of tradition al drinking vessel culture,Chinese traditional vessel design naturally contains the essence of Chinese traditional culture—the Confucian idea of creation.The ideas of "Benevolenc e,Righteousness,Propriety,Wisdom,and Faith” and “harmony” are fully reflected in the design of traditional Chinese drinking vessels.The idea of "Benevolence" is reflected in the design of vessels as people-oriented design,emphasizing people’s needs,and embody ing a good interpersonal relationship;"Righteousness" means to be tailored to the individ ual,appropriate for the time,suitable for the local conditions,in the drinking vessel desig n playing scientific and rational purpose;The idea of "Propriety" is embodied in the desi gn of wine vessels as functions of sacrificial offerings.It also represents ancient etiquette and grade system.The idea of "wisdom" is embodied in the wine drinking vessels design and combination of the scientific spirit and humanistic spirit."Faith" is embodied in the d esign of wine vessel for shaping personality,creating ideal,keeping promise is the comm on value standard and basic virtue of the Chinese nation.The idea of "harmony" is the har monious relationship among people,objects and environment,which is reflected in the h armony between function,form and material in drinking vessel design.Combining traditional ideology and culture,conducting practical research and analysis,and discussing and designing,its main purpose is to inherit the fine traditions of the Chinese nation for thousands of years and promote the Confucian thought of creation,and to promote the innovation and development of Chinese wine designs.The use of Confucianism in the design of contemporary drinking vessel tools is of g reat significance to the nationalization of the design of our country.The design of contem porary wine tools should follow the design concept of "harmony but different" and "peop le-oriented" design,and strive to achieve the harmonious unity of form and function,and give the design of drinking tools rich meaning,reflecting the ideological connotation of "serving others".In contemporary drinking vessel design,we should advocate the design id ea of "the unity of heaven and man",and pay attention to the use of new materials and he alth materials,so as to achieve harmonious coexistence between people and the environment.The study of the Confucian idea of creation in traditional Chinese drinking vessel design,is of positive significance for inheriting excellent traditional Chinese culture and promoting the sustainable development of contemporary society. |
