| Bola type Polysiloxane surfactant is a new type of surfactant,because of its excellent performance,so it has been widely used in many areas.Amino acid modified Bola type polysiloxane surfactant is a kind of Bola type surfactant,because of its renewable resources of amino acids,it has aroused the interest of scientific research workers.In this paper,two novel di-amino acid modified Bola polysiloxane surfactants?DBPS?and tetra-amino acid modified Bola polysiloxane surfactants?TBPS?were designed and synthesized,respectively.First,diaminopropyl polysiloxane?ATPS?were synthesized by reaction of octamethyl cyclotetrasiloxane?D4?with 1,3-bis?3-aminopropyl?tetramethyldisiloxane?AT?using tetramethylammonium hydroxide?TMAH?as catalyst.The as-obtained compositions of ATPS were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy?FT-IR?and nuclear magnetic resonance?1H-NMR?.The result showed that the product was the targeted compound of the research program.Then,the DBPS and TBPS surfactants were synthesized by saponification reaction of intermediates by reaction of ATPS with two times molar and four times molar amount methacrylate,respectively.The final compositions of intermediates and products were characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR.The result showed that the products were the targeted compounds of the research program.Finally,the water-solubility,surface activity and aggregation behavior of DBPS and TBPS surfactants were investigated by solubility experiment,surface tension measurements,dynamic light scattering?DLS?and transmission electron microscopy?TEM?,respectively,which demonstrated that the DBPS and TBPS surfactants had good water-solubility;the DBPS and TBPS surfactants have much higher surface activity than those of conventional hydrocarbon amino acid surfactants,In addition,the CMC of DBPS-1,DBPS-2 and DBPS-3 surfactants are 2.1×10-4,5.6×10-5 and4.2×10-5 mol/L,respectively,and the?cmc are 21.9,23.2 and 23.8 mN/m,respectively;the CMC of TBPS-1,TBPS-2 and TBPS-3 surfactants are 6.4×10-5,9.7×10-6 and2.2×10-5 mol/L,respectively,and the?cmc are 28.9,26.2 and 24.3 mN/m,respectively;Meanwhile,the DBPS and TBPS series surfactants can self-assemble into spherical micelles,the average diameters of DBPS micelles were in the range from 30 to 1200nm,and the average diameters of TBPS micelles are in the range from 10 to 400 nm. |
